It's one thing that riot has been extremely transparent and not supporting their ideas of champion classes system.
The community thinks that every bruiser is an ASSASSIN, every champion who builds AP is a MAGE etc.

they went and Reworked the entire collection tab and you somehow think that tab is going to tell you lies still, it is unreal, sort the champions by class over there and tell me what you see under mages.
you complain that champs that are mages, literally mages, are somehow not mages and you want the developer to label them not mages because they don't fit your narrow idea of what a mage is, sorry did you make the game? document it's development over the decade? heck even just follow it and commit it to memory? couldn't have done that you don't know that champions can have many classes assigned to them.
now somehow champions who have been mages since before and after vanguards were introduced (dumbest subclass change ever btw) must now not be made mages because? "oh no my brain is hemorrhaging attempting to grasp how kass, maokai and morde can all be mages like veigar and vel'koz"

Fizz, Lb, Kat, Kassa might not be mages but they are Mage Assasins - why mage? because they use abilities that are scaled by ability power and most of them do Magic damage, it's like saying Talon is not AD he is assasin
