It's flying down the drain.

This meta, whew. I'd had to be in charge of retention of the player base.

I suspect there are a lot of people quitting these days.

Actually that's how it was for the last 3 months, people were quitting left and right, including myself. Big league personality's like gross gore, NB3 and magikarp all quit. But because of this meta almost everyone is coming back to league :/ honestly after the tank meta, horrible assassin update and ardent meta, this has been one of the most fun meta's in the last 3 years...

It's nice having a meta containing skill expressive champions. No more having CC vending machines being thrown at you and all the damage you do being useless. Tank meta/Ardent meta were the literal embodiments of fighting depression.

This meta is disgusting. I can't even relatively believe, how Marksmen/Adcs aren't even a thing. There are people who have played League of legends because THOSE champions feel right to them, it isn't even about the ROLE. it's just about being eligible to PLAY a marksman without telling your team that you lost the game because 1. you don't do damage WHY? 2. Because you get slaughtered by a swain/vladimir/brand/heimerdinger/yasuo so you can't get items to DEAL damage. SO even when you DO get damage 3. Those champions stated above, are better at teamfighting and 1 banging marksmen. One does not SIMPLY dodge a brand/swain/vladimir/(yasuo if their team comp is knockups). It is the end of those champions all together, until RIOT figures out how to Balance this damn game. it's been going down the crapper since the new mastery update. (I've gained elo with the update, but it's truly trash) before fanboys attack that, how about you STOP and WATCH ;) what i did there. Fk this meta/recent updates.

We all have to admit that a 300g nerf to Zeal was actually a lot but it got reverted to where I think it's not only 100-200gmore expensive than before it was nerfed. The base AD and base HP/HP regen weren't even that bad in the first place.

Although you are right about those champions just outclassing marksmen tho. The zeal nerf did force crit ADCs to take longer to scale which is worse in this meta where games are getting EVEN shorter and also just overpower most marksmen in the laning phase.

Here's a secret. "Balancing" isn't actually balancing, If they really wanted to balance the game they easily could, but it would would ruin the illusion that the game will always be different after you come back from a break.
