Check this site out to see how you rank

If you aren't in game it will give you two options - one of which is "go to summoner profile". I went to my secondary account https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/summoner/na/terribleplAyr and found out I'm just outside the top 1000 players for my main champ in NA and just outside 7000th best in the world. Kinda cool to see where you rank even if you are in lower elo like me - currently silver looking to climb back to gold where I finished last season. Also great if people try to look down on you because of your elo. Just tell 'em how high you actually rank on a champ and shut up their claims that you can't know anything about league or a champ just because you're not x-elo.
