How and why can this happen? ONE player is understandable, but two? Why? Why can't we just wait another minute to find a match so we get a chance to win it? I sat in queue for 13 seconds to find this match - my premade and i BOTH got filled into offroles. Why can't we just choose to wait 2-3 minutes and find a fair match?
Optifreak722 votesI’ve been in games where two people were autofilled in each other’s role. They just traded back in champion select so it didn’t mess anyone up. It is kind of crazy to see that though.

riot wants players to spend as little time as possible waiting to play the game...granted for higher elo players this is practically not possible due to the sheer lack of people up that high
you also have to remember about autofill protection, which some players wanting to make sure they get their good roles, will play a match or two as support or fill and then go into their serious match with a guarantee that they will get one of their preferred roles

People would just get put on their secondary. The entire bottleneck theory falls apart once you realize everyone chooses 2 positions and not 1.
