Matchmaking in norms is all over the place

I realize you have a separate MMR in normals which explains how it's possible. But last game this was my game:

Gold 2 vs Gold 5 top Gold 5 vs Gold 4 jg Unranked vs Plat 5 mid Silver 1 vs plat 5 support Silver 4 vs diamond 5 adc on their 300k mastery main

In this game we had 3 players in the bottom half of the ladder against 3 players in the top 5% of the playerbase. I would really like to see this looked at, even though you have a separate MMR in norms there is no reason to even have the teams this off balance in terms of solo queue rank.

inb4 just play ranked which has better match making - I'm not able to play on a desktop right now and am on an old laptop with just wifi. I DC/lag/frame rate drop too often to play ranked, I don't feel like I can play at the best of my ability at all

They might have been duoing. I'm almost a silver1/gold5 player but my normals mmr is trash. I get matched up with bronze or unranked consistently. I can remember a diamond 3 kat in my game once (everybody else was unranked/bronze/silver). The kat was duoing with a friend. Of course she goes like 18-2 and carries the game hard. Not sure whats up with yours all over the place.

As much as you and a lot of other people believe that some sort of MMR system is in place for normal games the truth of the matter is there isn't. You are matched with whoever is available.
