How do you beat Camille?

I just got worked mid as Zed. I know everyone here LOVES to hate Zed, but any help here would be much appreciated.

She didn't do anything special. All she did was constantly hop off the wall to harass and get her little shield thing. Over, and over, and over, and over. I thought I was safe sitting relatively far back but she was able to hit me every single time. I felt useless and hopeless. How the hell do you counter this? I would like to be able to punish the next individual who thinks they're cute by picking Camille mid.

You need to pick top laner to beat her in mid then, since any type of bruiser rekt zed, MonkeyKing XinZhao Camille red Kayn etc

Camile being able to hit you with every wall-jump is a L2P issue. It's a skillshot where she's the projectile, so you can absolutely side step it. In fact, this is pretty easy for Zed as you can throw out your W when she goes to the wall at first, and then just freely juke.

Beyond that, Camile is a bruiser. Zed is an assassin. Assassins don't like fighting bruisers because assassins generally build to burst squishy targets, while bruisers are not squishy. Any assassin into any bruiser is a pretty rough MU past the first few levels (where base stats and base damages keep things relatively even).

I figured as much, but I coulda SWORN I was both out of range and lateral to her when she wall hopped. But I'm not too familiar with her abilities so I couldn't figure out why she was able to stick to me with every wall hop. Very frustrating.

Try watch some YouTube videos about Camille, and try play her. If you understand her weaknesses through hands on play time then it would be easier to beat her in a fight.

did she stun you? Camille gets a pretty good steroid from hitting her E and hard cc, giving her time to set up her auto resets from q, if you're fast enough post 6, ult her as she flies twards you and deny that! after that she will either ult you back or run away. use W to dodge her cone, she cant auto you during this animation so throw the shadow behind her, she wont get the healing and you'll be able to get in your own autos during that time with your combo, further strengthening your all in against her.

You beat Camille before she gets her items, once she gets hers she shits on you.

Edit: Mistake confusing her E with w

Yeah she stunned me just about every time. I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to dodge her stupid wall bounce. It frustrated me because I knew if I could get past that, I'd beat her easily. She knew I couldn't dodge it so she just rinsed and repeated.

Any champ that wants to be on top of their opponent is the right move for Camille. As an assassin that might fare well against Camille, I'd think Akali (current) would do well since her dual damage screws up shields, she can presumably stealth through Camille's ult, and she's got strong mobility.

I think zeds first 3 levels should be able to have a lot more kill pressure than her

First, zed into camille is a horrible matchup once you both get some items assuming you are equally skilled and fed. Now, for some tips on how to beat her: -Your biggest advantage by far is that you push harder than her. Once you hit 6 shove to tower and roam, get fed elsewhere and fight her with an item advantage. -If you must fight her in lane, you have to take every small advantage you can get. First of all, try to fight in favorable minion waves, using the aforementioned pushing advantage you should be able to accomplish this. Take into account that you will need to ward very safe, because if you use shadows to push you could be very vulnerable to ganks assisted by her hookshot. Then, try to avoid extended trades, because she will hit you with a empowered q. -This is only assuming that she does not have her shield, if she does you cannot trade with her whatsoever unless you are already at a health advantage. -Another advantage that you have is the poke advantage, as long as you dodge her w you should be able to outpoke her with your shurikens and some shadow combos.

This whole thing here can basically be summarized in that you will have to push agressively against her so that you have possibilities to roam, the minion advantage in any fight that breaks out and ease to harass her aggressively, but you need to take ganks into account if you are going to do so. Correct wave manipulation is key here. Also, stay closer to the center of the lane so that you have more time to avoid wall jumps. Understand that you are in a bad 1v1 matchup and do not get frustrated, but as Zed you are much better suited for the roam potential of midlane and thus you need to take full advantage of it.
