What would the community prefer happen if 2017 Flex Queue doesn't meet solo player requirements?

According to the latest news from Riot, they're bringing about the old solo/duo queue system side by side with the dynamic queue system for 2017. However, there's the concern that's always existed that solo queue will take all the solo players from dynamic queue that are used to fill premade groups. I'm actually rather confident this is going to happen.

Riot's current plan is to scrap flex queue if this happens and make ranked 5v5 again. Not the worst thing in the world. However, I personally would prefer if solo/duo queue got changed to true solo queue and flex queue just eliminated solos and 4-man premades to improve queue times.

What would you prefer?

The thing I'm interested in seeing is how these different Qs will affect role demand.

What role combos to people often Q up for when they Q together? If say a good chunk of the Duo Q were for the bot lane, it would likely be in the best interest to maintain solo/Duo, as the extra duo's will help fill the need for supports.

It's that kinda Question that gets me thinking. Is a True Solo Q or a Solo/Duo Q going to have better Q times, with the dynamic selection in mind?

Yeah, now that you mention it, solo/duo queue didn't exist in any form when role selection shipped out. People like me who used to be secondary support got so pissed off with never getting our main that we changed our secondary and now there are a low percentage of support picks. I wonder if it's already too late to go back or will some of us give supporting a second chance with solo/duo queue?

When you say it, I think solo/duo would probly end up with more supports in queue than true solo, but I think it wouldn't have that much of an impact. Of course we'll never know unless it actually happens and we can compare it.

Either way, I think a slightly increased queue time would be worth a true solo queue. True solo queue tests your abiilty in a way that no other queue can. Your own mechanics have a higher importance, your ability to make team based decisions on your own, your ability to adapt to other player's actions based on your own intelligence rather than instructions. Riot likes to pretend that dynamic queue teaches you teamwork and solo queue is about solo carrying when that couldn't be further from the truth. I learn far more about teamwork in solo queue cause you have to figure it out on your own instead of be told what to do. Meanwhile, dynamic queue has led to true carrying far more so than solo queue.

However, I can also understand it never showing up in favor of ranked 5v5 teams. In my opinion any premade of less than 5 isn't the best test of teamwork. Proof of teamwork skill happens when you limit all the variables on your side to your own personal skill instead of adding a random factor.
