If 2017 is going to have Flex Queue, why can't we get a true solo queue?

As of right now, 2017 ranked is going to have a solo/duo queue like every season prior to season 6 as well as a flex queue which is the same thing as dynamic queue. Back in the beginning of 2016 when dynamic queue first came out, we were promised that true solo queue would be following it. I was really excited about that. Now we have 2 different ranked queues that have options for duo players which seems unnecessary. I know they both have options for solo players as well, but that's actually necessary considering what 4 man premades would rely on. True solo queue would be the ideal measure of personal skill, so can we please get that instead of the solo/duo queue mixed with flex queue?

Then play flex ranked queue? Leave solo queue for the solo players.

That answer is so simple, yet so true, which leads me to the question of why the OP is bitching considering we are getting the best of both worlds right now. Flex queue for those are liked/used Dynamic, and Solo Queue is back for those who didn't.

I'm beginning to wonder if Riot brought back solo/duo cause they're concerned whether or not flex queue will survive. But even if it doesn't, they can just start with true solo and switch it to solo/duo if flex queue doesn't work.

Because Duo Queue is still necessary as long as bot lane remains a two player thing.

Duo bot wasn't the most popular form of duo queueing back in prior seasons. Hell, even duos in dynamic don't often duo bot. If you actually had a requirement of somebody having to choose support or fill for one of their roles to use duo queue, I could understand. But duo queue doesn't actually increase the number of bot laners.
