Premades are antifun to play against
Four man ganks and constant tower diving all early game.
Four man ganks and constant tower diving all early game.
The only difference between randoms and a pre-made team is the high potential for more accurate communication, since the people you're involved with typically are more comfortable with voice chat, or are in a familiar enough state to where your adjacent play styles hopefully complement each other in a way that formulates a well enough understanding to see through to a more stronger game.
.....RUN ON SENTENCES.
I've been the 1 non-premade guy in a 4 man premade and all the four people did was troll and feed.
TL;DR: Premades are here to stay. Your problem isn't with teams, as four people can be godawful even in a party. You're mad about solid plays, communication and teamwork, which is both exhausting, surely, but definitely futile as well.
I love this argument and I always have. "Teams are bad for game health," in some way or another. In my old MOBA I played, our motto was 'teamwork OP.' This was the blanket response to people who thought 1v1-centric picks (or duelists maybe) were toxic and overpowered because they had fantastic tools for-- and almost exclusively for-- dealing with enemies if they attacked one-by-one.
I've never seen the support for it except 'I don't have people to roll up a successful premade with.' Literally every argument I've seen against it faults the fact that it's 'unfair,' even though it's just people working together. Hell-- if your pugs weren't garbage (hence the need for premades), you could coerce them into cooperating and foiling the enemy's schemes.
The problem is that the regular game experience is so uncertain. For sure, I won't just say every game is trash (even though I do believe that), but a lot of League's games suffer from selfish players being, well, selfish and self-indulgent. Mid or feed, X Champ or AFK, banning picks, and the list goes on and on. In the end, if I know four other folks who aren't gonna give me trouble (even if they're not the most skilled), I'm gonna enjoy that more than hoping for the chance that pugs are, you know, decent humans. Instead, most of them tend to horrifically selfish behaviors, which just makes them irritating to play around; it certainly doesn't make them appealing, which makes premades probably better by default.
Premades are the natural response to people who want the game to be spamming Lux's laugh, stacking Teemo mushrooms and picking the same single champion and tilting if they get banned. It's the solution to player attitude problems, to getting reported for trying new builds and compositions, and to being harangued for mistakes instead of helped with them. It's what happens when you treat your attitude in the game like it never effects anything, and when you just tell people to mute their problems away. They get friends, they play with friends, and they gank the shit out of your lane because it works, it tilts people, and they're doing it with friends so even if they biff, they might just have fun anyway.
And in the end, if League no longer allows teams to be made in a team-based game... well, it's going to be bad news for them when their competitors hear and capitalize. And sho' nuff, I bet Riot loves them some dolla dolla billz.
So in short, git gud. If premades make you mad, make a premade or learn how to exploit their usually-present overconfidence.
You don't know the frustrations of playing against premades until you've played against them on Twisted Treeline (nearly every other game on NA), where there is little to no map vision and communication gives them a MASSIVE advantage against pubs. At least you have options for dealing with them on SR, since it's a much bigger map, plus you can actually buy wards.
if youre going to complain in all chat we're gonna spam gank the fuck out of you for that
