Want to explain your matchmaking Riot?
Im not good at top lane by any means, Im silver 1 top lane, trying to get all my lanes into gold.
Can you please tell me why im Vs Gold 1 Riven mains with 1million mastery points.

FOR JUSTICE1 votesthe only thing relevant to matchmaking is the fact that riven was gold 1.
mastery isnt taken into account for matchmaking. being that youre already mid-low gold in 2 roles, a gold 1 riven isnt too far off tbh. its probably attempting to boost your MMR higher because you're already gold in 2 other roles.
rujitra1 votesWhile you’re generally correct, it’s not the rank that matters, but the MMR. MMR is more fluid than rank - someone performing badly will lose a lot of MMR in a dozen or two games, while their rank will not fall as much in the same time. This is to provide the rank a buffer zone for bad days/weeks or off champions/etc.
The hidden MMR of that player may very well have been lower than Gold 1, and the hidden MMR of OP been higher than silver 1.
