Dragon Not That Important?
Since dragon got buffed, it's a lot harder to cheese dragon with a level 3 or 4 solo, and I feel like in solo queue, dragon isn't taken until ~10 minutes (especially with devourer junglers). The only time I see a team get 5th dragon in my games is when the losing team decided not to surrender, while the winning team played a drawn out objectives game.
I can see that dragon is obviously a big deal in competitive play, but is it really that big of a deal in solo queue? The first buff is kind of nice, but not really relevant when you first get it (due to low ap/bonus ad early game). Buffs 2 - 4 all feel really lack luster.
I don't know is it just me? I really don't feel like dragon is that special anymore, because when I look at the game timer and the amount of buffs each team has, I often just say fuck it and focus on baron or towers instead. I'm really not scared of the 5% move speed they'll get if we can trade it for turrets/baron and either gain enough map control that they can't contest the next dragon, or just end the game.
I feel like it'd be made more important if the big buff only took 4 dragon kills (maybe push over the 5% move speed to buff 1), or if the dragon timer was decreased by a minute. I'd imagine that'd have a massive impact on the competitive scene however.
