Hi, so I am level 24 and I have started to prepare myself for ranked games. I know, still 6 levels to go. I realized that my champion pool lacks a proper support. I will haev 3150 IP pretty soon, and was wondering who I should by. I think it will either be Blitzcrank or Sona. Who do you guys think? (Also, is this the right place to post this? I used to ask questions like these in the tips/tricks section, but its gone)
Archon X1 votesBlitz is strong at just about every level right now, just build him right - that means going face of the mountain route, not talisman route. He's a tank.

If you do want a caster support, Morg is pretty good (and cheap and pretty easy to pick up). Also Soraka is super cheap and will help pad out the 16 champs you have to own (although she can be kinda iffy for viability).
I'd say it depends on what other types of champs you prefer playing. If you like tanks/juggernauts then pick Blitz. If you like mages/AP assassins (although the season 6 meta doesn't seem too favorable for them at the current moment), then Morg.
That way when you start buying runes (which are super expensive), you can get the most use out of a limited number.
Ravenhale1 votesYou probably want at least one Utility Support, Mage Support and Tank Support.
Utility is either Janna or Soraka (peel or heal). If you only want one, I'd take Janna.
Mage has several options, including viable Mid Laners (Annie, Brand, etc.) if you prefer damage over utility. Morgana is the only 3150 or less champ I can think of that meets a happy medium of damage and utility (maybe Sona, but you'll die... a lot).
I tend to favor the Tank Supports over your 3150 cap. Blitz offers a safe engage, but is somewhat bereft of "utility" . IMO Alistar is a more rounded support that falls under your 3150 cut off. If you raised your cap to 4800, Leona and Nautilus are better CC machines with peel and engage.
