Shouldn't even be climbing ranked until the start of the new season, the rewards is just not worth it.

it happens thats why u dont wait untill the end of the season to do ranked... u have to do it at the start of the season.. like this season due to my placements going horribly wrong =/ i was placed in silver 5... tho i had climbed from that to gold 1 easily. but im now gold 2 atm :~: just due to pure bad luck in games and then something happend with my game or grapics card that broke my Ui

I waited until the end.

Start of the season is a horrible time to do placements because its random. Higher MMR are playing with much lower MMR players, making it a gamble of who gets who on which team.

Same applies to low MMR players being contracted up.

Not only that, but the balance is often horrible at the start of seasons, and the meta isn't clearly defined, so its hard to do things completely optimally or estimate what will happen in various scenarios.

THE START OF THE SEASON IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST TIME TO TRY TO CLIMB UNLESS YOU'RE RELYING ON LUCK TO GET PLACED HIGHER THAN YOU BELONG.

Same with playing ranked during any part of the season Later on u get boosted people who dont belong in the elo like i once had someone with less than 40% winrate.. he was an adc and u know its a team focused game now so everyone needs to be on point

10 games put me in G3. If you're better than where your soft reset put you, you will start out much higher than average.

just remember the actual point of the game is to have fun and enjoy it.

here is a though about rank...

rank isnt something to be ashamed of. i feel rank is just a way for riot to put players of similar skill levels vs each other so they can have fair games and enjoy and have fun playing the game... hear me out...

you are bronze.. what if every game you matched vs plats and diamonds? and you get stomped up and down the map and the game is no fun to you.. are you likely to keep playing if that is what happens every time?

on the other hand if your plat/diamond whatever "high" elo if you playing vs people lower skill level then you is that fun not every being challenged? it would be like if you were to go play a game co op vs bots or a custom game vs bots and the difficult is set on easy?

how fun is that?

so in theory rank is there to put us vs people we have a chance to win against while being challenged so the game is fun and rewarding at the same time and keeps you playing..
