I don't care if your kda is positive as a jungler

If you can't control drag or other objectives you're not doing your job.

its not exactly the jungler's fault if ur teammate at bot or mid dies and they take an early drag.

or if they do a lvl 3 drag while your team had no vision of it. its teams fault.

But, that's what jung is for. Sometimes you have to let a tower take a few hit's (they're tough you know) and balance the time spent with managing jung. Ward it if you have to, and ward the most likely approaches to it so you know even from their own jung when they seem to be headed that way. and ping man ping!

When I mean control objectives I mean within your ability. If drags up and mids down and you decide to show up top lane theyre going to jump on drag simply because they know you're not there. Obviously you can't solo their team that's unreasonable. But there are nuances to jg like being on the bottom half of the map when drag is about to or is up that I don't see as often as I wish I did. And with scuttle there is a lot less reason for a level three drag to happen

to be honest, if ur vsing decent players....they'll take drag regardless of them having vision of u if ur mids dead. (unless ofc ur bot or jg is fed or they're simply low hp)

but if you mean they're at baron and u guys are contesting them, and your jungler just decides to split push. it CAN be a problem, but it can also be a good thing. just depends on too many things.

If your mid and their mid is descent we can assume your dead mid almost killed their mid. their mid has to back. If your mid is also doing his job then they should have no reason to do drag, the team fight contesting it would be even. But then your jg shows up top well now they dont have to deal with a smite steal and an entire player being at drag to contest it.

That's fine, but don't be like this one leona who i played with who actually said "well all the other junglers shld be soloing drag at 3" when i was playing fucking nautilus, she and vayne refused to help me with any objectives and zed had to come from mid lane.

But.. im 100/0... and its 5 mins in the game.

But seriously i agree with this statement being a jg main myself.

Once had a game where MasterYi on our team went 46/10. But he had all the kills, leaving us underleveled, and refused to take objectives and continued farming kills. Once the enemy team eventually caught up they ganged up on him and once he was dead we were destroyed because the rest of us had no gold and lost the game.

I still have absolute respect for him.

He was literally soloing their team, even got a penta. He was extremely fed and I suspect he was a smurf.

hey man you new? you cant make any jungler thread on gd. jungle circlejerk here is too strong and will find any excuse to protect them.

Well, that's true, but on the same note, if you're laning you should be. Not in the sense that you care that it's high for jung, but I've always gotten my adc's to compete with me when I jungle. They push harder, and by the end of the game I either eat up a ton of kills that I'm carrying, or they are fighting so hard to play who's the better killer they've done pushed themselves farther than they ever have before. Then after when I reveal to them that I was doing that because I knew they'd fight back and play harder they usually thank me. Also I will let them have their kills if they are close enough to last hit. I don't k.s. that's bullshit.

I'm not sure you understood the actual point of my post

I don't care if you expect your jungler to always be able to get in and take dragons. They simply aren't worth suiciding for the steal anymore.

Dragons are not just the jungler's job anymore. You have to make the rotations and make sure you have vision control of the objective as well as have the team organized around it at the right time.

Dragon was buffed. If they arent worth suiciding for now then they never were. Unless dragon used to give something other than gold

When dragon was worth gold, it was worth suiciding.

Your death gives the other team AT BEST 500 gold and 250 for 4 people for assists, totaling 1500 gold, but that only works if everyone gets an assist and you already had a massive killing spree.

On average, suiciding for a steal gives the other team 300 gold with maybe 150 for 2 people for assists. When dragon was worth gold, it was worth at the least, 180 gold for 5 people. 180x5= 900. Dying on average is worth probably 600 gold to them. That's a 300 gold advantage in your favor for stealing it. Later on, that dragon is worth 360 gold per member of your team, giving your team a total of 1800 gold. That is absolutely HUGE.

Now, though, suiciding for dragon gives the enemy team that 600 gold while not really getting your team anything notable immediately. An extra 6% damage on your team at about 10 minutes gets them nothing immediately. It's worth maybe 10 AD at most, maybe 15 AP at most, but the problem remains that the enemy just got snowball gold and a 4v5 fight. Dragons are good to accumulate, but I refuse to suicide steal dragons anymore because it just isn't worth it. Maybe I will if it's to stop them from getting the 5th one, but even then, it's not really worth it. They get the gold from my death and they get 30-60 seconds of map pressure with a person more in play.
