QQ over Yasuo

By the boards that is 99% populated by silver 5/bronzies.

I fail to comprehend the difficulty you tards have with Yasuo.

"OMG HIS SHIELD" takes nearly 20 seconds to fully charge up.

"OMG HIS WINDWALL" has a 22 second cooldown

"OMG HE MOVES AROUND ALLOT" why are you fighting Yasuo near minions? Here, let's go fight Kha'zix 1v1 in the jungle too then complain that he's OP damage

"OMG HE HAS NO RESOURCES" he's a melee mid with 0 form of range, he needs sustain in a form that isn't health

"OMG HE'S TOO STRONG LATE GAME" omg his early game is dog shit and takes almost 10 seconds to fully charge his Q until ~lvl 9

I've played Yasuo since his release and I've moved on to playing Urgot 24/7 and I've never had a single fuck to give when there was an enemy Yasuo. 0. If you have a mental capacity higher than an infant you shouldn't be struggling. If you can't handle playing against that champion, don't play ranked. You clearly have no idea of concept in this game and have no business playing it at all.

It's not even like you're pissing and moaning about Annie being able to 1-shot 5 people at the same time by pressing R. No. You complain about a champion that you have to be the fucking god of Tom Clancy's: Guitar Hero Siege 6 to play.

It's not even like you go to that champion and then complain about a mechanical concern like safety or sutain, you just go and complain about the champion. omg op nerf! remove crit! remove shield! remove dashes!

Do you not realize that's the champion design and that the difficulty of the playing the champion is going to give you better damage output than one that doesn't have a high one? Why would I play Yasuo if I could play Master Yi and do more damage as Yi, even if I was good at Yasuo? How would that be balanced for Yasuo?

It makes 0 sense. I'm going to play Yasuo over Master Yi because I have a higher potential than Master Yi, but also compensate by having a higher failure chance. I pick Yasuo because I know my skill in playing the game will compensate for my higher failure chance. This concept doesn't seem to go through many of your thick skulls so I was going to spell it out for you. You can go play Master Yi, but if the Yasuo has a higher-than-bronze understanding of the game, he should be winning in theory.

I don't know if any of you have ever played League before, but you're supposed to know what a champion's abilities are before going to forums to QQ about them.

Now, I'm going to be downvoted for taking your cherry-picked bullshit made up abilities you gave him and returned facts instead. I can hardly bring myself to open up the boards each time I do it, but today I was tempted (after a month of not playing) to check in since I had to play ranked or suffer ELO decay.

Thank god you made a post out of this. I'm too lazy and instead just say this stuff as a comment on the QQ threads which of course instantly gets downvoted to hell because 90% of the people viewing that thread are shitters blindly complaining about him.

It's seriously as bad as these American politics right now, specially Trump. Hypocritical, cherrypicking, and just blatantly stupid people who blindly follow an idea because they have issues of their own.

His kit is annoying, but its whatever. I just don't understand how two items can give someone 100% crit with slightly less crit damage, that gets nullified by IE. And the 50% armor penetration thats tacked onto his already damaging ultimate. It just feels like to much. Its not the champions actual gameplay I hate, its the hidden stats that put it over the top. In my opinion.

Void Nargacuga1 votes

He only gets the % Bonus Armor penetration AFTER the ultimate but that is also calculated for the damage of the ultimate. Otherwise he doesn't really have any armor pen. Very rarely is any Armor penetration item built on him.

If he rushes those 2 items, then he has no AD to go onto crit. 2x a low amount of AD isnt obnoxious. His base AD at early/mid game is around 70, and that would be around 110 damage per hit if you calculate in armor, crit dmg reduction, and standard AD runes. People interpenetrate his ult so much it isnt even funny. It's 50% of the bonus armor pen on the sources of armor pen that he has.

It is 0% bonus armor penetration unless he has Last Whisper, Dirk, or Runes. I have a rune page of 20 flat armor pen, if I were to ult as Yasuo I would then have 30 flat armor pen for the duration, etc. It's so that his late game isnt completely negated by armor since his kit since his kit is so 100% AD.

You may say that Tryndamere or Master Yi don't get armor penetration even though they are full AD. Tryndamere doesn't get that compensation because he is a right-click and afk champ. Master Yi has True dmg per hit, which is pretty strong on its own.

Something you have to understand is that Yasuo is a late game champion. No matter what you do, if you reach 40min he will be strong. Think of all the champions like that. Annie. Leblanc. Fizz. Akali. Illaoi. Kat. There are more but it's 1:12AM and I'm tired. That's their champion design. The question that may be raised is, how safe are they if they go all-in? Leblanc, very safe. It's why her balancing has been questioned for a long time and many people in the community have begged for a rework over the years. Illaoi is a monster later in the late game. I'd rather have an Illaoi on my team than a Yasuo (unless it's a REALLY good Yasuo). Akali has to go all-in, just like Illaoi. They have to be in the fray and can't just poke from the sides.

Yasuo is only as safe as the player using him is able to make safe. Yasuo can be all in, then he's out, and then he's back in. He pokes the sides until they are low for the kill. In a high level, it's allot of processing to do in a small amount of time and just one pixel off can result in a defeat. In low elo, it's really easy. Bronzes cannot process the distance of his dash at level one and throw a skillshot where he's going to land. His dash is fixed distance, so if you dash towards him while he tries to do an EQ (or EQ knockup) you can dodge his hits. Moving adjacent to Yasuo erratically between your abilities and attacks can confuse Yasuos coordination. There's allot of small things aside from larger things that counter Yasuo.

Avoiding fighting in minions just destroys Yasuo's mobility. Jungle fights or sides of the lanes make him unable to escape/dodge/get cd's up. QSS removes his ult and even knockups before he can ult.

Correction about the ultimate:

For the next 15 seconds, Yasuo ignores 50% of his targets' bonus armor.

It does not empower your Flat penetration. Though it still helps with flat penetration since there is less armor for it to penetrate.

I'm assuming your source is leaguewiki.com? That site wrote his his ultimate down incorrectly. It increases his bonus armor penetration (from Runes, Masteries, and Items) by 50%. It's the same clarification as the pre-change IE passive where it said "Increases by 50%" which could be interpenetrated as 50% of 200% is 100% which makes 300% crit damage, or adding flat 50%. They now clarified it with making crit dmg to 250%. Yasuo's ultimate does not add 50% more armor penetration, he gets 50% more of what he already has.

Void Nargacuga1 votes

It actually gives him 50% Bonus Armor penetration.

From here

Yasuo gains 50% Bonus Armor Penetration - this affects Armor from items, buffs, runes and masteries.

No one is moaning about him being OP, everyone is moaning about him being un-fun to play against and horrible to have on your team.

I'm neutral on this I think he's OK but I'm just saying lol

None of the champions in this game are fun to lane against. Darius? Leblanc? Annie? Maokai? Illaoi? Nasus? Jhin? Nunu? Morgana? Janna? Katarina? Kha?

Yes, they are annoying to deal with. But less so than some other champs, one of them being Yas.

Individually, his "annoying traits" can be countered.

In conjunction, it's much more difficult.

His shield has a 20s CD; You take it out through some means, and then you want to go in on him. If you want to go in, or poke the shield down, you have to get near minions. Yas is supposed to be weak early game; He should be harassable, but he's not, due to having much too many safety nets(a la Zed) to make his "weak early game" extremely safe. Harassing from range requires you being near the minion wave, and melee champs, like Talon will have trouble killing him in laning phase.

Talon vs Yas:

You want to go melee to cs, as a melee champ, but you have to get past your own minions. Using your W to get the ranged creeps puts you in range of your own minions. Yas can also windwall off your W and R, should you want to use them. Your W doesn't do much dmg to him. Soaking up xp usually puts you in range of a EEE+Q harassment, and going all in is not an option. Without ult, you cannot escape from him.

Once again, his early game should be easily harassable. This is not the case due to the combination of multiple safety nets.

Sometimes they can be annoying but a lot of people feel Yasuo is too much.

Personally I've never laned vs a good Yasuo (Bronze lyfe) so I can't have too much of an opinion but I feel for those in higher ranks

Yasuo mains are so delusional.

You get free crits, free shield, free armor pen, infinite dashes, zero resource costs, and wall that blocks literally everything in the entire game.

I was with you until you brought up Yi.

Master Yi does more damage than Yasuo. His DPS is much higher, and crit Yi's burst is higher than Yasuo's.

Yasuo's skill cap doesn't justify doing more damage than Yi. Not when his utility is higher than Yi's, who only brings damage. Yi also casually stomps Yasuo 1v1 as the game goes on.

Overall I agree though. People refuse to learn how to play against Yasuo.

You are right, since Yi only provides raw damage he'll do more than even a champion with a higher skill cap.

However, if neither champion is fed and it's mid-game (20-30 min), Yasuo should be able to kill a Yi if the Yasuo keeps to his own environment, meaning his lane minions. If you're talking about a right-click-n-afk match between the two, of course Yi would win. That's his champion design. In a more dynamic environment, Yasuo wins. Yi is more vulnerable to taking damage and CC than Yasuo is (in a teamfight) which does come back to Yasuo's utility. That's a reason why Yi isn't played by professionals all too often.
