A word to the wise if you think you deserve a higher rank and buy plat+ accounts

Good players, that is ACTUAL good players, people who have worked their ass off to learn the game and rise through the ranks, can smell weakness a mile away. You think all it takes to be diamond is a little mechanical skill and abusing OP champions? You're dead wrong. I've met quite a few people recently who strongly believe that they deserve to be high elo players, who bitch and moan about how the only thing holding them back is "bad teams".

Well you know what? Go right ahead and get yourself boosted. Buy that diamond 5 account and see how long you last up there. Because the truth is, players in the highest echelons of the ranked ladder are there for a reason. They understand how the game works better than you do. But more importantly, they know how to capitalize on mistakes. And you know what separates low elo players from high elo players? Frequency of mistakes. Good players are merciless in their exploitation of poor decisions by their opponents. You give them an inch, they take a mile. You won't even realize what you did wrong as they knock down your nexus.

Now, I'll be the first to admit that matchmaking isn't perfect. I've suffered because of it, we all have at some point. But there's a reason it takes so long for the average person to reach high elo. It's because this game is extremely intricate, requiring the utmost in analytical ability and decision making. These skills cannot be learned in a few weeks, like mechanical ability can. It takes years of constant practice and self-reflection, going over your previous games to decipher the reason for your mistakes.

Not only that, but it requires that you actually LEARN something from them. Identifying a mistake will only do you good if you prevent it from happening next time. These are the people who rise through the ranks. There is no fast track to success in this game. Get down off your pedestal and stop overestimating your ability. 90% of the players in this game are terrible simply because they refuse to acknowledge the fact that they're terrible. Learning something as complex as League of Legends is a process.

And if you try to circumvent this process by buying accounts or paying for boosting, all you're doing is elevating yourself beyond your means. You are where you are for a reason. Deal with it.

When people complain about win/ lose streaks all I can think is. You hit your personal ELO. No big surprise that most people won't be good at the game. I'm not even good I have a handful of champions I can wreck face on and that's it.

People want to climb for the dopamine rush sadly

Thats the problem. I am bad too, i know why, and i dont care as long as i have fun. Its a game after all.

In my experience, most of them are very young or complete losers. People who got careers, houses, fancy cars and a wife normally dont pull their self worth from a video game.
