Makes the whole "you've snowballed the game in 5 minutes" a lot worse, especially for bot lane. You're awarding the team who clearly already has a lead, a bigger one. Doesn't make any sense to me.
Objectives win games they should be rewarded more than kills............. Not dying is more important than getting kills, as you cannot protect your towers while dead. Don't lose your tower first and you'll be okay.
Long laning phases allowed a greater demonstration of strategy and skill. Casual players hate that so Riot made the game 'run it down a lane at 5-8 minutes' simulator.
