Riot needs to introduce more types of buffs/debuffs

Like, soft/hard cc and healing is something so many champions already bring. Adding variety in this field would make support champ picks more meaningful if they offered other types of enhancements/disables. It'd also add variety to what someone would use in given situations, rather than having supports overlap everywhere.

So stuff like refilling mana, auras that boost stats, even wierd ones like cdr, or AS slows? Or an aoe AS-buff?

well, we had more such things once, but muh invisible power, can't have more subtle forms of utillity at riot...

League is littered with invisible power. They should stop using that excuse just because they hated the MR of the Legion aura.

just because they hated the MR of the Legion aura.

There were alot more auras and stats buffs and even debuffs than just the mr from legion in the past

But your certainly right, there is alot invisibile power in League still, makeing it a very hollow excuse.

I'm worried about more debuffs since QSS doesn't remove rebuffs anymore. I don't want a champion with exhaust as a normal spell.

More enchanters when we already have quite a few. I guess I will like some more.

  • Doesn't have to be on just enchanters.

  • Doesn't have to be point-n-click.

  • Doesn't have to be NEARLY as stacked as Exhaust is.

They should introduce a wider variety of stat debuffs and maybe stat-saps on Supports (Critical Strike Damage reduction?).

I don't think we have any kind of confuse debuff yet. Maybe something that causes enemies to walk in the opposite direction of what they click or to attack random targets instead of what they click on. Also, maybe a confuse effect that causes them to be able to damage their allies with a % of their AoE damage for a while (like only 10% or so) which would force Mages to be more careful in their spell placements. This effect wouldn't work on allies beneath X% Health, though. Another confuse-esque effect (or maybe Enrage or something) could be hiding an enemy's Health bar from them and their allies for a duration.

As an alternative to Grievous Wounds, maybe something that damages a champion every time they heal or shield an ally or maybe a selective silence that prevents them from using active heals and shields (or just selective silences for various things in general).

Maybe a debuff that prevents an enemy from slowing your allies (like a Holy Fire theme or so). Could also be a buff on an ally.

A debuff that taunts minions into attacking a target.

A weird concept I had was for an Earth-bind debuff tied to maybe a Poppy or Vayne displacement that would ground enemies and force them to walk alongside walls or terrain (if the spell pushed them into a wall). Other terrain stuff could be setting brush on fire or freezing the river.

Another cool debuff could force enemies to automatically dash a little distance towards a specific location (your base?) once or every few seconds.

Debuffs and auras are all hellishly invisible power, and Riot has long since made it clear that invisible power is power that's hard to balance.

So...no.

Just use visual + audio queues that make what's happened more noticeable. AURAS are pretty invisible power, but if I'm slowed by Sejuani or Ashe, I can clearly tell I'm covered in ice. The power doesn't have to be invisible if we had some competence here.

Like, hell, I barely notice Locket even going off due to how low-key that shield's effect is, but Riot will suck off an STD infested hobo to keep that item on the support meta throne. Visibility can be helped.
