Conqueror discourages teamfights

Lets say you are Master Yi. You need 6 stacks on rageblade and 4 seconds fighting time before Conqueror kicks in.

Basically there is no way for Yi to get Conqueror stacks for teamfight. It's much easier to split so you can get conqueror stacks rather than go in teamfight and do 0 damage

So that's the reason why some champions like YI would never join teamfight. It's too hard for melee champions to make COnquero Rageblade work in teamfight

On other hand keystones like Dark Harvest encourages to teamfight more often since it does more damage the more souls DH user harvested

So don't expect Conqueror user to teamfight. It's way easier to split and have full power rather than go in teamfight and die while doing nothing

If Yi doesn't have conqueror active, he does 0 damage

Conqueror was designed for bruisers, not squishy assassins anyway.

well if its in combat which is when tank yi shines for example like poke damage and deaths dance counts too theres that you can get conqueror example ez q hits you (on purpose) deaths dance keeps you in combat then you get your rune at that point.

Yi was never a good teamfight champ in the first place no matter what rune he takes. You just have to accept it as the tradeoff for being one of the strongest duelists in the game (that said, fuck Jax who's better at both, nerfs well deserved).

Conqueror merely accentuates that strength while doing nothing for his weaknesses. The off builds like crit or the Q reset Hail of Blades build attempt to mitigate that but sacrifice much of his duelling power for a slightly better teamfight by turning him into an assassin rather than a fighter. And we all know how good assassins are lategame.
