Ahri is overpowered and has been for far too long. He literally tells people to abuse it while you can. Which, knowing Riot's willingness to actually nerf that stupid champ, is unlikely. She is not a high mechanical skill champ. At all. Do not let her playerbase say this. She has to land one skill shot and then the rest of her kit is braindead and does the work itself. She is consistently a high winrate/high playrate champion. She has a 52.66% winrate in Plat+ under the "World" filter. Source: https://u.gg/lol/champions/ahri/build
She has a 53% winrate in Korea with a 9.5% pickrate over 6,000 games.
All of these stats/facts don't matter though. Riot will never meaningfully nerf this freelo champ because of how popular she is. Have to sell skins and waifu body pillows.

When the meta revolves around "play making" a character that excels at picks is going to be good. Ahri can play into a lot of metas (benefits of being a jack of all trades character), but when was the last time she was actually meta defining on her own merits?

much to my surprise your most recent ranked game on the account you're posting from is an Ahri game. I'm tired of the excuses for leaving this champion in freelo state. "she doesn't do damage" "she's just really safe" "she can't push waves until she has Lost Chapter" "she's so immobile and easy to lock down without her ultimate" Her Rank 3 ultimate with 45% CDR from items/runes plus the additional 25% CDR to her Ultimate from "Ultimate Hunter" grants her the ability to use her R every 24 seconds. That, is bullshit. Glacial Augment and Twin Shadows make it impossible to miss a Charm and enhances her already disgusting ability to catch people out and get picks.

Safe champions exist and glacial augment being broken with specific items is not Ahri being broken. You mentioned that I played Ahri, how about mentioning my other champions?

My other 3 accounts won't load my match history, but they contain a large amount of Swain, Viktor, and Taliyah. I played a large collection of champions at, bare minimum, a plat+ level. I used Ahri as a safe first pick if Morgana was down or to counterpick, meaning I barely played her. Trying to imply that I am somehow biased because I played an Ahri game 6 months ago is a poor argument.

If you want glacial augment synergy nerfed, I agree, but Ahri is fine as a champion.

Ahri is a great blind pick in a meta that has few of them, unless you want to be the lane's problem and pick Zed Vladimir , or deal with Hecarim RekSai , which are all high presence picks to the point where one of them is guaranteed almost every game.

Mix this with her safety (or valuable utility, with Glacial Augment) and you've got yourself a high win rate champion that still isn't obnoxious enough to warrant a significant ban rate.

Was she overtuned? Probably, yet Riot has stated before that they only look to nerf her when her W and R (auto-targeted) can kill someone with ease while not even being ahead.

I have said the same for a very long time. Ahri is far too safe, far too easy to play, and far too powerful. This is a trend that is not going away. Instead, it is being increased with every rework or new champion. Remove tactical skill from the game and add in Call of Duty style twitch-reflexes so bad players feel awesome when they pop-off on a game... which, of course, increases toxicity. Which is the real goal.

if Ahri is the only one abusing a bad designed rune that is just bad for other champions and she is the only champion that can use it and the rune itself is not healthy and hella cancerous to play against then why nerf a champion that abuses it instead of nerfing or removing it completely? Honestly you don't need to even use your brain cells to answer that question I don't know what the heck is your reply lol
