Grievous wounds should apply to shields

item 3075 item 3123 item 3165 summoner 14

These 4 items should apply grievous wounds should apply shield reduction. I'm not sure about the exact numbers but Thornmail would reduce shields more and the 2 damaging items would reduce shields less. As for ignite I'm not really sure. Just an idea to encourage building these items to counter shields since there's nothing countering shields right now

Think it's just due to the nature of the application. It makes sense as to why it'd apply to the body and not the shield, due to the fact that its purpose relates specifically to health. Meanwhile it makes sense that thornmail effects shields. Imagine a literal shield being bashed against armor that's meant to punish those that attack it directly. I'd imagine it'll break eventually.

Sorry, I wanted to less lazy with this post, but I'm not all awake. Feelin' like I may as well be sleep typing.

Wasn't really using a practical approach but I get what you mean. I suggested applying it with grievous wounds because if it was a separate item no one would buy it and no one would want to be forced to choose a grievous wounds item or shield break item. maybe engage oriented supports could buy a shield breaker item to negate shields or reduce shields in a team fight.

Also, go to sleep buddy :))

But you cant WOUND a shield? Its either there or its broken (runs out)

Wounds are flesh or something damaging to the entity's body.

I did not think of the practical approach, okay. I'm only thinking about mechanisms in the game. Instead of applying it to grievous wounds, create an item to temporarily reduce shield effectiveness. think the opposite of Aegis
