individual mastery, should be.. Individual!

I was kinda excited when I found out about mastery points. I'm so sick of ranked points, that depend on whether or not your ranked team has a clue or not. I thought, "Cool! Finally, something that reflects how I do, even when I get stuck with a team of freaking feeders!"

And then I noticed my latest game.

Individual grade: A-! points: 170.

We;re only getting real points for WINS???

Come on, please fix this. Mastery points should only depend on your generated grade. It should not depend on your team mates. That makes no sense.

So people can sit at base and spam sightstone for 20 minutes instead of playing...right...

sounds like you havent actually been paying attention to mastery grades. Riot is keeping the exact formula a secret, but I REALLY dont think you'll get a very good grade from doing that.

if you do, then I will happily retract my comment here.

Well, the only point that really matters is the Nexus kill. If an F rated player (does it go that low?) can kill the Nexus while the S+ loses, the S+ didn't deserve his points.

It's not really a good measure of your skill anyway; "Mastery" is a slightly misleading word to use. They could've just called it "Champion Points" and everyone would be fine with it.

Or just retcon all of what they called it in the past, because it brings across the wrong implication in the first place.

Mastery shouldn't be only dependent on your personal grade, but it also shouldn't be completely crippled by a loss either.

Getting double the Mastery increase due to a win? Fair. Getting 7 times as much? A bit ludicrous.
