What part of the Random Game Mode queue is supposed to be random?

Because from what I can tell, it's basically just Poro King and Ascension all the time. How exactly does Riot choose what game mode goes up each week?

The "R" doesn't stand for "Random" it stands for "Rotating".

But that is also misleading as the modes don't really "rotate" at all. URF hasn't been live in 13 months and One-for-All hasn't been around for more than 9 months. But I guess "technically" we just rotate between Ascension, Poro King and Nexus Siege... which are awful, a little less than awful and horrifically terrible game modes respectively.

I happen to like Ascension. It's the closest thing we have to old Dominion. (>_>) RiP.

Funny, because Definitely Not Dominion is also a game mode in the rotating queue. And we've had it a grand total of twice ever since old Dominion got deleted lol.

They ask us if we want URF or OFA and then they give us Poro King. Because Riot cares about its playerbase.

Riot's just working with a limited pool because they had to implement each mode individually in the new client.

People bash on Riot for Ascension and LotPK for Frequency, (a result of them being the first game modes implemented) but Riot's also has to consider the most recent game modes. (They just did Doombots and Blood moon, and Kinda Darkstar) So if they don't have another game mode ready to go, they have to stick with whatever is left. (They could do ARURF or ARSR if they wanted to. But I would probably prefer Ascension or LotPK)

There are multiple websites including this one, reddit, facebook, youtube etc filled with feedback and comments saying people want to play URF and/or OFA. They have ingame data regarding Q times and number of players that Im sure will clearly demonstrate those modes are the most popular. Yet they keep giving us the same garbage modes OVER AND OVER. Weve had Poro King and Ascension nearly 20 times each since our last URF. Even newly created game modes have been offered more times than URF.

So spare me your "limited resources" crap. There is ZERO excuse for not giving us the game modes that we have made known and clear we want to play the most.

Couldn't have said it better. A billion dollar company has plenty of resources, they chose not to do it, it's that simple. They give excuses about it, odd justifications, but at the end of the day it's what an overwhelming majority of the playerbase wants and yet they passive-aggressively deny it.

I have a feeling it's because riot doesn't want to implement the extra buttons in the new client. (vote for a champion (OFO), which champion do want to give to the other team (Nemesis), six champion slot (Hexakill), etc.) I mean URF is ALREADY viable in the new client, it's the same thing as ARAM.
