Que Times and the State of League of Legends

It seems that my que times have been increasing steadily as the summer wanes. Just a month ago average que times for ranked were 2:20, now they are 3:20. I want to know what you guys think of this (and this is at peak times past 5pm est) and what might be causing it. Is it just a general dis-interest in the game? I thought to myself that maybe 2/3 (2:20 / 3:20 rounded) of the community are left after a recent toxicity sweep (that banned 1/3 of the player base) but that's just my stupid brain thinking pessimistic things.

Perhaps its Dynamic Que? I mean I only have to wait on average 1 extra minute so I mean I've gotten a lot more chores done in that time but what else could be the reason? Thoughts?

It's called kids are back in school. So they get home and have to do homework/activities. While in summer that same kid played 10 hours a day he will now only get to play 1 or 2. Also, people that have achieved their rank are probably done with ranked for now waiting for next season and updates.
