Kindred mid?

So last night I played my first game with a Kindred in it and I really liked the looks of the champion. Great visuals and Interesting playstyle etc etc.

But my issue is that I don't jungle and I know that Kindred was literally MADE for the jungle. I mainly go mid or top. I looked up Kindred mid builds and there are some out there and there are also Youtube vids, but I wanted a general discussion about it.

So basically I just wanna know how viable a Kindred mid is and if its worth grabbing Kindred to try it.

Until Kindred gets brought down a few pegs she is viable anywhere

I'd go top if I was you. They have a surprisingly good sustain if you build around it. You could have a little problem in assuming the role of the front line in teamfight (since you're top) but you should manage it with a few armors and good positioning, as you will probably have longer range then the enemy front line forcing them into poor positioning. As long as you wrap your mindset around it. But since you're top you probably get that.

The major flaw with bringing kindred mid is that they are AD, the jungler is taking dmg from the jungle camp he have to build some armor, the top have to deal with a long lane and an higher risk of being ganked, he need some armor and the support have a lower budget and you shouldn't count on him for the damage. Which leave the mid, the last position possible for a magic damage dealer. Unless all those 3 roles are simultaneously AP, you will need more magic dmg on your team comp in order to force the enemy into itemizing MR. If they can save that item slot for something else, it gonna hit you in the back later in game in teamfight.

Kindred Top is Beast Mode...All in Riven lvl 2 and you quickly realize how broken her early game damage and sustain is.
