It's matchups like Xin in the first image (trying to get through gold promos) that I never made it through my gold series. Every time I'd make it in there, their team would have 2-3 platinums, and stomp my silver teammates.
Well, the first one could be you were playing at a time with a very low amount of players in Gold-Plat queues. Like late at night, etc.
The 2nd one is Flex, so Solo/duo rank doesn't mean anything since the current rank of them in Flex was near your mmr.
