How do I play league these days?

The game has gotten better in that it snowballs in 15 minutes rather then 8, but I still am having a hard time with it. There are little to no come back opportunities and you have to pray to g-d the other team doesn't come swinging out the gate with a Rage Blade Jax or equivalent. How do I play in this meta? Is it just dumb luck or is there something I can do to make it not so one sided.

What... there's way more comeback potential now then there ever has been. While yes, it's also been made to help teams push a lead, less vision and weaker towers make comeback gold very easy to come back with. I would know, I've put my team up 5k+ gold in a lot of games this week, but since I cant get people to close out games, they come back and beat us
