It's that Riot won't nerf her
Meddler responded to someone about vayne and told him that the balance team is pretty happy with her since we decide to give up some strengths if we pick her.
But why wouldn't we give up some strength if we are playing a champion with uncounterable source of damage who is one of the hardest champion to kill in teamfight? because "high skill"

One of the weakest laning phases... One of the hardest adcs to come back from behind.... Yes she does a lot of damage, but uncounterable? Not even close. Shes one of the best duelists in the game but send a full tank, thornmail maokai after her and she will lose. Want to know how to truly counter her? Dont let her get to 6 items and if she does and you picked no one who can cc her or burst her thats not balance's fault. Not every champ should be able to be dealt with by every team comp when it comes to late game. I mean draven is just as strong and does as much if not more damage but because you have to catch your axes no one complains because "high skill"? Lmao There are champions in the game much worse then her which is why her ban rate atm is 40th overall and only 3 as adc at a whopping 9%
KONO RUBICK DA3 votesevery adc get shit on by burst lowest attack range?, lowest is lucian with his high used skill (Q) having the same range as his AA ulti isn't countered by pink ward since it still gives 90 ms and 70 AD her laning phase is indeed weak, but once she has 1 items she does as good as the opposit ADC thornmail counters every ADC, and counters her less since she has %hp true damage
"don't let her get 1 items" is the true counter
ban rate doesn't show how strong is the champion, in fact a champion skilled like vayne should have a bad win rate like lee sin used to have "46%" but because vayne is broken atm, she has 51% win rate
remeasures22 votesI didnt say "1" item. I said 6 items. Shes a late game carry if you let her get to late game then thats not her fault. I forgot lucians ad range is 500 but he still has a dash and burst. Her ult doesnt give 70 ad until 16. Her counter is completely dependent on jungle pressure and your bot lane playing to her weaknesses. If you let a vayne sit and farm and get kills yes she will get strong but if your adc gets their 1st item before her then they can keep her shut down. Freeze the lane, zone her and deny her. Dont take the turret until your team is ready to rotate. Then your support can roam mid and your adc can stay in lane denying her more and their support will need to roam to help. Then she will either need to farm the jungle or go mid/top as a behind vayne while you push bot and then rotate. You're saying someone who has such an utterly weak laning phase should have a strong late game? What about azir? He doesnt even have a nerf in pbe. Draven? He hasnt been touched since his passive rework. You can deny him all game but god forbid he gets a kill before you kill him and he gets a free 500+ gold and all of that denying is gone. Plus the strongest pre item adc in the game and he deals the most damage full build out of all of the adcs. How about annie? Burst, stuns, turning fights into 6v5s, burst, How long since her last nerf? Not including when they nerfed her q range of which they buffed tibbers at the same time. How about akali? If she gets ahead shes overpowered which is the same thing vayne needs which is to get ahead but akali can snowball much easier then vayne, I could keep going. Just because vayne isnt strong doesnt mean she doesnt have counters and is impossible to be shut down. There are also 4 adcs, including draven which is said to be harder to play then vayne, who have higher win percents then her. Just because you dont like her doesnt mean she needs to be nerfed.

remeasures22 votesRead what the guy below said. When I say she has the one of the shortest ranges I mean that outside of her 550 attack range she has no other way of dealing damage. Lucian has his ult and if he knows how to play lucian can use q to poke by procing it on a minion. Sivir has q and e, mf has ult and second q proc, jinx has zap, ult and by the time she has rank 5 q she has the second longest aa range when shes in q form(only out ranged by level 18 tristana), kogmaw has ult and his ooze, graves has ult and buckshot, ezreal has all of his abilites, draven has ult and stand aside, corki has q and ult. So once again vayne has the shortest effective area of damage out of every adc. if someone isnt with 550 range of her she physically cannot deal damage to them.

are the only other ADCs who can't affect enemies outside of their autoattack range and both have abilities which can extend their autoattack range significantly. [I suppose Twitch W can technically count, but it's pretty minor]

Unlucky Number71 votesshe has the lowest effective range. yes she has a auto attack range of 550 but she has no way to deal damage anyone outside that range. Every other adc has some ability that can deal significant damage outside their auto attack range but not vayne. As an adc main everytime i play her it feels like she has shorter range than she actually does.
