The % mana bonus AP and AD of the unique passive Awe do not negate eachother.

item 3004 item 3003

If you buy both of these items, the only gains that do not stack are the lesser mana refund and the lesser mana gain on ability cast. You will only gain 25% of the mana spent on abilities and the more powerful Tear effect will apply and be maxed out first. The AD and AP from the two Awe passives are both in effect at the same time and do not cancel each other out.

In other words a mana champion will earn 5 AD, 15 damage from Shock's passive and roughly 160 AP (which with its Tear effect scales up to 20 AD, 60 damage from Shock's passive and ~183 AP) by the time they buy (and can afford) item 3003 after having earned 750 mana for item 3042 and purchasing a item 3057.

The more you know. Mana carry privileges!

I'm trying to make an Ezreal build that revolves around earning 750 mana for item 3042 by 22 minutes and item 3040 by 30. I've been rushing item 3070 but I'm starting to think that's really dangerous in this meta and that item 3057 is by far the best starting item on him.

Does anyone think there is anything wrong with this build? My build so far is AD runes, an Armor quint, CDR glyphs, scaling Armor seals, Doran's start, Sheen, Boots, Tear, Manamune, Death's Dance, Mercury's Treads and finally Archangel's followed by either Trinity Force or Lord Dominik's Regards.

Very few champions can really benefit from both, and it's a helluva slog to get both stacked (since you have to stack one at a time) in this meta where people tend to feel games are ended quickly and decided early.

Ezreal is the main one who does want both, and he can be pretty scary if you do get there, but I feel like in practice one is better off building straight AP or AD and going all in on dps/burst and coming online somewhat sooner.
