A Dummies Guide on How to Fix the Meta; Riot edition

You're totally right! Every champion that instagibs me right now has access to true damage! When Lucian dashes into me and does 75% of my health at level 3 or Ezreal doing 20% of my hp with just a sheen I think damn, I wish they removed all this true damage. When Karthus ults me and almost one shots me late game, I think true damage is to blame. Sure, true damage being so commonplace on champions nowadays is problematic, but claiming all balanced based issues surrounding damage would go away without it is borderline insane.

Actually true damage when used properly helps reduce the damage meta. True damage hardly helps against squishies but is great against tanks, while penetration isn't actually as good for busting tanks as it appears. The damage meta exists because tanks have to be killable but that means to kill them everyone else gets melted
