Damage meta. Reject or accept?

What to do. Continue to complain about the damage being too high, or accept that this is how Riot wants their game to be and adapt or even support this meta?

Because right now all I am seeing is people on the boards constantly complaining and posting suggestions that riot ain't gonna be bothered to even read and nothing is happening to put this issue to rest.

At leaast you know you're not alone. You know it's not just an accident. You know this game has actually become a mindless burst fiesta. They adapted their own game to some kind of Fortnite-like perma skirmishing. And you know it's a fact, and not just a personal feeling.

(your offline friendlist can probably tell the same)

Well at every point in time there's a meta, and the boards always complain about how much they hate it and that they're quitting.

In damage metas at least you do damage. I don't know about any of you, but if someone tanky like Darius or Shen isn't too behind nowadays, it takes like 3v1 to deal enough damage to threaten them. It's also important to note that health and resistance falls off once people start getting penetration items, but before then tanks and tanky champions can do whatever they please because there's not enough numbers in the game to threaten them. It's even worse in tank metas because it's Nautilus ccing you for 4 seconds every 3 seconds.

I do not enjoy this form of League and am playing a lot less ever since season 8.

The calm aspect about this game I fell in love with is gone and if it won't come back this season as well, I will just completely stop playing the longer this drags on. Just as I stopped buying skins a while ago (used to want my favorite skin for every champion, because I was so passionate about League five years straight).

It is sad, but Riot does not seem to have other plans. I miss strategy. I miss teamfights that last longer than three seconds.

If you are something squishy you should expect to be bursted.

If you play something tough take Aftershock and utilize it correctly.

Metas Revolve around classes not a part of the game.

Become proficient at dealing out the most damage

Abuse the shit out of it

Make the game miserable for anyone who isn't you

Just kill them over and over and over and over again

I want to see that shit in the pro scene just so Riot can be embarrassed by purposely drawn out games just for kills because one side can't do shit.

They already admitted the high damage is a problem. Which was why runes/items were being nerfed. So the complaints are justified.

Be happy they are complaining. Because when it slows down and finally halts. It means the players are fed up with the game and have left for good.

I would say that if you wish to continue playing the game, accept it (this is probably the case if you find it fun), or just find another game to occupy your time because you shouldn't do something unfun especially for entertainment.

Then it's up to Riot to decide if they're making a game enough of a playerbase want or not.
