Good and bad news Leona players.

Good news is, with the Conq rework, Leona is back in terms of being the fighter that she was pre-runes reforged. Bad news, the meta has changed too much since S8, and become too mechanically and mobility overloaded that she still isn't good in a solo lane or in the jungle. She can clear fast enough, and has strong ganks, but shes too immobile. Failing a gank is far too punishing for her Experience/Income, making her an unreliable jungler.

Yes because starting off with +3 AD is so good for Leona. Because not many champions have % health damage to melt you... or you're 2 levels behind in botlane because leona is a support 95% of the time

the point of taking conqueror on leona is that you can full stack it in 1 combo (E -> AA -> Q -> AA -> W) pre level 6, at which point trading auto's is in favor of leona. also doens't it give leona AP until you build AD?

Nah Leonas default adaptive force is AD. It WAS AP when RunesReforged first launched. But Riot quickly fixed that.

this is why we can't have fun things....

i loved playing bruiser leona on treeline though, seeing the enemies reactions when they realised that they just got 100-0 by a leona was hilarious!

leona is solid. the highest skillgap of her is her ult and her E. both make or break the champion.

leona was being spam picked until they nerf'd the width of her E. then no one played her.

I'm a bland walking wall. So I'll stick to my Aftershock.

Her abilities scale way too much with AP. Going AD with her makes you way too vulnerable for heavy engage champion.

To make conqueror work in a long run as part of a heavy CC fighter, you would have to considerably gut her defensive capabilities to give yourself attack speed, AD and a bit of survivability via Lifesteal/HP/Resistances.

Leona has always served as a reliable, high defense and CC oriented champ. Honestly, let's keep it that way.

I'm not against experimenting with builds. Go for it! But if it ain't broke...

This alone tells me you have a very inexperienced understanding of Leona and the game in general. Why would u need to gut her defenses? What are you even trying to say with this? Why would you need to build attack speed? Leona is nearly attack speed capped when you take into account how short of a CD her AA reset is. Attack speed is redundant. Conq on Leona is logical because E>AA>Q>AA instantly fully stacks Conqueror while the target is still CC'd from EQ.
