Let Gnar have control over his transformation like Jayce and Elise

Instead of managing a rage bar, I would appreciate if Gnar were instead a completely resourceless champion and his transformation mechanic functioned like Jayce and Elise where you can switch on the fly.

This would make Gnar more reliable and buff him appropriately in my opinion. It is incredibly distressing to be capitalized on in his smaller form by bruisers and have no agency over it.

If league players can't have complete control over their rage, why should Gnar?

Gold.

The problem is that Jayce's or Elise's melee form are not stronger than their ranged form. Well, Gnar's ranged form is arguably better, but his kit is built around his rage bar - imagine if he was allowed to have 100% uptime on his ult. He could win any teamfight simply by being around. The point of the rage bar is to give him some counterplay which is nullified if he builds mallet hehe

no he wouldn't, Maokai is better

Ok but do you want another Maokai? That's fair for 1 champion (gnar) but unfair for 137 other champions (not Maokai nor Gnar).

Why are you asking for Gnar buffs when you're a Singed OTP?

As someone who used to main Jayce when he was playing, I have to say that Gnar's problems stem far deeper than his lack of control over his transformations. Gnar is poorly designed on multiple fronts. Lackluster abilities, strict build path, unreliable role-swapping, the rage bar, being impossible to balance, etc.

What Riot needs to do, and I have been saying this since Gnar's release date, is to delete the champ and pretend it never existed in the first place. Just delete it and deny ever having birthed Gnarbage into existence. Then after two years just slap the name on a completely different, but actually functional, champion. That's the best thing they can do to be honest.

Oh yes, anytime you get anywhere near gnar..."GNNNNAAAAR" stomps around, throwing sht, slams you into a wall, etc etc...you back off, he goes back to normal, Throwing his Q and kiting you all day...you get some HP back, get a litle ballsy... "GNNNNAAAAAR" Process repeats infinitely
