I Can’t Find Evelynn’s Damage
I spent the remainder of season 7 practising reworked Evelynn in prepartion for preseason. I figured if I could find success with the champion on a system she wasn’t meant to use, I wouldn’t have much trouble during the update. I went with a cookie cutter Elise build early. Mobis, aether wisp rush. Farm camps quickly then gank lanes until I hit a charm and net a kill. Worked like a charm (pun intended) and I began to see my early game performance with her improve dramatically. We were told she was desigined specifically with these new runes in mind but if that were the case, I believe I wouldn’t be having this problem. As it stands, my full combo of charm, q, e, right after my first jg clear barely drops enemy champs bellow 75% health. The entire combo feels like it does less damage than it did before and why would it not? 2% more damage on abilities is gone. Double edged sword is gone. Green fathers gift is gone. All of the runes and masteries that gave extra damage in the early game have been replaced with hard scaling new runes. Which do not benefit Evelynn at all. Without that extra damage I feel more useless than I did before. Her ap scalings on her e and ult are high but her base damages and her q are so pitiful that it just hurts to play her. Maybe I have not tried out all the possible combinations. Maybe I am missing something. But if i have six kills and i perform my entire combo on the 0/4 unsuspecting enemy jungler, I’m pretty sure I should kill him and he should not escape with 30 percent health. Anyone have a build to fix my problem?
