Potential plans for her ... your overall opinion on her current state ?
Riven is one of the most hated champions right now ... mainly due to her feast or famine playstyle combined with her rather opressive kit
She is indeed a great champion ... but despite being in good situation ballance wise ... she seems to be traumatizing players with her gameplay

stuartk111 votesRiven has a couple identity issues in her current state. She's designed as a sort of "light-fighter" with assassin-like elements with bursty damage and passive. The problem arises in the combination of these 2 on the same champion, as it seems very unlikely to create a healthy play-style. She can deal a good amount of sustained damage, and has strong mobility, but not quite the same "blink in and out" playstyle that would normally be affiliated with an assassin's type of mobility. Her passive gives her strong amounts of up-front burst which lets her quickly kill non-tanky opponents who she is able to get in the face of. A champion with both of these aspects ends up feeling like they are good at neither, or that they are overbearing and difficult to counter with much effectiveness.

since her numbers allow her to get the best of both worlds ... dealing the epic damage and withstanding hits like a tank
but at the same time its all tied to the ad she buys ... so she easily goes dominant on you when she has some gold lead ... and easily falls behind when behind
this has a negative impact on her counterplay ... either riven is too strong for her counterplay to be effective ... or she is too weak for the counterplay to have any meaning

Knight SoIaire 1 votesi never said she isnt im just saying that feast or famine isnt a good type of balance in a game that is 100% about skill and interaction since it basically puts those factors on a lower priority list
ABlueQuaker1 voteshow is she feast or Famine? Fed or not she still has a low CD AoE Stun and Knockup to bring to fights and a fed Riven isn't particularly hard to deal with outside of low elo unless someone exclusively mains Riven.

if she has little ad ... her shield gets broken and she dies before she kills people on the other hand if she is ahead her shield can usually withstand most of the punishment she takes and people cant survive long enough to bring her down

adc's get an item overhaul or update soon so its all up to debate now
and adc's are ranged ... with the safety of range involwed ... the game gets "diferent" its hard to fall of when you just deal good damage from far away and still are relevant unless you play jinx or other immobile guy ... but thats the problem of immobile champions owerall ... they get outjumped
