anyone else seeing a lot of grasp on tank supports?

like ive seen it on tahm kenchs alistars trundles and even a leona in one of my friends games... even looking at champion.gg its prevalent in both frequently used and highest % win usage

the damage redirection and damage reduction could both use a buff

maybe 6% damage reduction and 8% damage redirection??

but because the survivability provided by grasp is just better than the damage redirection then perhaps buffing its survivability and making both damage reduction and redirection 5% each

LCS is doing it. Everyone else follows. That said, melee supports are on a big uptick right now, and grasp is just the best keystone on them right now.

goddamn pros

i hope grasp doesn't get nerfed because supports are abusing it

It probably won't since its not a super huge problem in the top lane (where it was designed for as a trading tool). They'll probably just buff Bond if no one wants it because its too weak.

It's the only option for tanky top laners too, so it's most likely to get hit if they touch anything. It's more of a meta since tanky melee supports are very meta right now. Grasp isn't great if you have it against a ranged poke support. The assassin update may push some meta things around, along with whatever other preseason changes come with them, so I don't think any significant changes are needed for grasp in the meantime.

Bond of stone is ok if you want to get destroyed as a support. You already tank for the adc so by wasting a mastery point is "pointless"

Strength of Ages is the next best thing but in low elo "Bronze-Silver" no one knows what CS means. You will be lucky to cap the mastery in the first 20 mins of the game mainly due to players only wanting kills- Lower game time ending around 20-25 mins doesn't help either.
