if you can't find a way to beat a champion with your best champions at all

It might not be because that champion is OP. It might instead be a sign that you need to expand your champion pool. About a year ago, I used to never be able to beatAnnie no matter what I did, I would just lose to her so hard, and my complaining about it on Skype pissed off one of my friends to the point that he told me to stfu and learn new midlaners, and the reason why I was failing so hard to beat her was because I only knew how to playKatarina andYasuo mid so of course I was going to lose. So picked up some new midlaners. Lux was who I started with, and I ended up blowing up the next Annie I fought. Best feeling in the world.

Sorry for any words that seem out of place I'm posting from Mobile

Tl;dr if you just can't beat this certain champion, it might be your champion pool isn't good enough. Try expanding it before giving up and calling it OP

remember when Annie used to be the scariest Bot back in AI noob days? xD

My real name is annie and Alls I hear my friends say is.. "F YOU ANNIE!"

and im on call playing something else and im like "WHAT DID I DO?! D:"

so when I played myself I knew to stay away from the annie bot..

In Intermediate I had a hard time playing my origional main Tristana against her recently.. because when I tried to throw the bomb on sivir shee would use the spellshield she has and completely negate it while still doing tons of damage to me...

Because I overplayed her and now that people are playing her.. Im taking a break from tristana... but she's still my first main..

Counters exist to all champs in the game. Even the most broken champs have counters, but usually, usually the counters are non-meta and don't see play, so it makes it seem like, especially in pro play, the champs are stronger than they really are.

Of course you do have shit like release Kalista that should never see the light of day, but hey, Annie does a good job of blowing that bitch up.

there are genuinely times champs are op like 4.20 WW, release rengar, current mordekaiser, etc. but for the most part people just dont understand how to play against said champion.

in my honest opinion even in a losing matchup you can salvage it with your main and go even if you really try to play it well. Sometimes the matchup is just THAT bad and you need to pick someone else (annie vs kassadin for example), but for the most part you can outplay it. Annie Vs Lux is a good example. That annie should never be able to kill lux. But if that Annie is smart she will build movement speed to dodge skill shots and farm herself into a good place. dodge the E, bait out the Q, and then blow up the Lux. I've done it myself. If you are a better player , you will win regardless of match up if you've truly taken time to master that champ.

expanding a champ pool is NEVER a bad idea though of course as if you can play multiple champs well then you can also counterpick. Its why I try very hard to be diverse in my picks. but really knowing one or two champs insanely well isn't stupid either if you actually bother to learn how to play in each matchup.

Like I said, unless that matchup is just super duper terrible for you like Kassadin Vs Annie or like Garen Vs Vayne, you should be able to outplay it if you are the better player. Especially if that person only picked that champ to counter and doesn't know their champ as well. The times I've won as Annie vs Xerath, Ziggs, Lux is laughable because those people just don't know how to play the match up. If they did I'd at best go even, but they lose because they are only trying to counterpick. Maining is not a bad idea.

Just like Vayne , she's annoying to deal with because 1v1 she's better than most adcs, now I'm learning Draven and everything is better :)

My favorite vs Vayne lane I have ever played was Thresh/TF. She can't outplay gold card into hook into flay.

Isnt it a flaw of the game when you need cerain champion to beat another? Arent you supposted to build specific items to deal with strenghts and expose weakness on other champions? I think its bullshit when the best thing you can do against some champions is to run.

You don't need a certain champion to win. It's just that some champions kits are better suited for beating other ones. Part of the game is using a champion's kits to your advantage, and why I was never a big 1-trick-pony person. I am much better at having like 5-6 flex champions that I have played a ton of and can handle a variety of matchups.

For Example:

Pantheon's passive blocks Fiora's Vital Strike passive and since a well played Pantheon can get 3 procs of his passive off at the start of a fight, he pretty much dumpster's Fiora.
