End Game Grading.

So, if you've ever looked at your 27 kda, 33/4/28 zed mids and ended the game with an A+, as pretty much everyone has experienced, you've probably gonged yourself in the forehead with disappointment.

Riot's reasoning is grading is based off of champion. For example, I've gone 27-0-18 on tryndamere jg and only got an A+. I think that kind of game should account for an S, however, because most tryndamere jgs post stats like that, its only normal, so you are an A ranking. (Beyond the balancing aspect of those numbers), I think grading shouldn't be champion based, it should be performance in the game based. If I have a 50 kda on any champ, obviously I hard solo carried that game, and should be rewarded with my mastery tokens. Doesnt matter the role/champ.

If one role requires an 80 kda to get an S riot, including good cs/gold/objs/ward scores. How about you balance the champ, until then, give me my S tokens!

No, it should definitely be champion based. You aren't a "Master" of Zed if you go 10-5 just because most Nidalees go 8-8.

If you got a 50/0 KDA, but the average for your overpowered champion is 60/0, you didn't earn your S. You performed average.

What you're asking for would make it so that champions that are weak would be literally impossible to get an S on, while champions that are overpowered get an S every game without the player even trying. That just doesn't work. You need to perform better than most people do on that champion.

I do agree that CS shouldn't mean so much for supports, considering how hard it is to get an S on them even despite the fact their average is lower. But that's not anything to do with it being champion based.

However the system bends for the creative. I used to be a Janna top main, and I got my tokens in games with around 11/4/7. My most recent mastery 6s were ADC Ahri and AP Soraka in the midlane. So it grades you on your performance against a middle number of other players with that champion. However stepping out for a moment to find there power in some other way sets you far apart from the norm and results in tokens easier. This is coming from someone who got AP Jinx to level 7 in season 6, Janna Top to level 7 in season 7 and APC Annie to level 6 in season 8.

It's also role-based, so you can quite easily get a high score by performing average when it's comparing you to other trolls who just feed.

They do balance by champion...but there's a lot of factors to it. It's the combination of K/D/A, cs, Vision score, objectives, and overall kill participation over the length of the game (with length also being a factor)

I once got an S as a 0/0/27 support (If I remember correctly...Janna? This was in like s7) and everyone was furious in that game. I had 87% kill participation on my team, an above avg (though not god tier) vision score and our team had like 5 drakes (all of which I participated in taking) so of course I got an S...but with no kills at all, and no cs at all (duh, I'm support) people were going NUCLEAR in the post game as to how it was bullshit they could be 8/1 on Fizz (with 5 assists...guy had like maybe 45% kill participation, only helped with the first dragon before just chasing enemies around the map that he rarely ever caught, and a vision score of like 12) and not get an S.

If you're sitting at a high kill participation, and still aren't breaking through to S rank, literally just spam your ward trinket. Doesn't matter where you put it if you're 1v5ing people anyway, just whenever it's up, place it in the nearest bush or choke point and keep moving. If that's still not enough, tell your probably-useless team to take dragon or baron every time you ace their team in a 1v5, and try to have the enemy 1v5 you in a lane with towers still in it, so you can take more towers too. You already have Duskblade I'm sure, so if it ever pops blackout, make sure to hit every ward you can before it expires cause that's vision score too. And of course, farm your ass off.
