No more premade nonsense where the solo queue players gets

  • 0 shotcalling potential -Blame -4 man reports (as much as it doesn't mean anything, it's still obnoxious) -0 communication -Banned of intent pick in champ select because they "dont agree" with what you want to play -5 man bot lane fiestas

The list goes on, soloqueue/Duo Q will revive this game to a relatively healthy state after 1 whole year of hell

And now we get:

  • Randoms blaming regardless of their actions
  • 0 communication
  • Banned of Intent pick in champ select
  • AFK's
  • People refusing to coordinate
  • People getting upset for the dumbest of reasons.

As much as Solo Que is nice and all, let's not pretend all the problems you listed are isolated to Dynamic Que. People are the constant variable in everything.

Let's make your voting positive again, cause that's exactly what will happen.

And now we get:

Randoms blaming regardless of their actions 0 communication Banned of Intent pick in champ select AFK's People refusing to coordinate People getting upset for the dumbest of reasons.

Here's the difference. Your actually equal, people might side with you, or disagree with you. But it's more interaction(positive/negative) with actual people instead of a hive mind.

You get randomly blamed by one guy, and another one might support you. If a person supports THAT guy, he's either premade, or you might actually be doing something wrong. Whereas if you support an ADC in a 4 man premade, and the ADC blames you, all 4 of them will start collectively flaming.

Communication now exists at the same levels among players, not just premades. No experience of having a premade on skype talking 24/7 while the chat is a ghost town. The opposing team is subject to the same thing. You won't get skype premades camping your lane. It's going to be a lot less organized than matches with full premades against full premades, but those types of games are for ranked 5s and competitive. It's SOLO queue, for testing individual skill, as opposed to working with a team. There are some aspects of that, but it's a lot less prominent and less important.

Banned of Intent pick in champ select AFK's

Yep, always happened in this game, and any other game with similar features. Can't really ever be removed(DoTa, for instance).

Both teams get equal "tiers" of communication, as in, everyone's on equal footing, and people are more "relatable" as such, making it easier to communicate.

As if none of those problems exist in soloQ I get the pain of being a minority in a group, but dont act like soloQ solves everything. Im calling it now, we'll see just as much whine posts about unfair rank system next season, only it wont have a trigger word like this season.

haaaaaaalp5 votes

Solo queue had far less problems than dynamic queue. There was far more we about dynamic queue this past season than there was for solo queue in prior seasons (and that was back when we didn't realize have dynamic queue showing us how much worse ranked could be).

JackMcSnipeyz14 votes

No, not really, dynamic que just gave people a very common reason to blame for their losses. Oh? 4 man ganked? "Pesky premades!" What? A team mate is feeding? "Clearly boosted"

These concepts are not new or exclusive to dynamic que, trolling was in the game since the dawn of time, banning people's pick was too. People coordinating ganks by simply pressing TP in the right time always happened.

What changed was now people had a word to use to blame all their problems, a simple word that would get circle jerked in the boards for upvotes "dynamic que" suddenly everyone were losing because of dynamicQ or winning because they are boosted animals.

All im saying is next season you'll see just as much hate for ranked, only it wont have the word dynamicQ connecting them all

GayFluffyUnicorn3 votes

Yup never happened that twice the amount of players sit in dia 5 now. Clearly no boosting ever happened. PRemades of 3 especially in higher elo never had higher winrates than solo players, never happened and if it also happened in solo/duo Q. Yup. DynQ went so well riot scrapped it a season later.

JackMcSnipeyz5 votes

Riot scrapped it because of the community backlash, it was deemed a failure by the community, there's a reason dynamic Q lasted as long as it did, riot had faith in it, the community saw something new and compained from the get go (kinda like plants this season).

Im not blaming anyone really, opinions are opinions, but the writing's on the wall - these things were complained about from the early stages lf the game's popularity, now it's all being put under the same name, but it was always there.

Also what's wrong with people reaching higher divisions? Unless they are severely out matched (which happens through payed boosting and account buying anyway) who are we to say who deserves a rank and who doesnt? Maybe he plays good and just doesnt got bad team mates and all he needed was a decent team? Saying "but i got there on my own, but i got there first" makes you sound like a hipster.

Finally: If many people died but each seemed random, each from different organ failure, people wouldn't really know what to do. Call the reason they are dying cancer (or anything) and suddenly awareness about it has exploded, but it was always there, now it just has a name to connect it all.

You list all this shit like it's exclusive to premades. Blaming, not listening, banning pick intent, getting multi-man ganked in bot lane...almost all these things except intentional 4-man reports on one person (which I still think is a load of crap unless you were an ass) were things that happened in Season 5, anyway. Season 7 isn't going to change a single one of these.

it be lìke that5 votes

not necessarily exclusive but far more potent with them.

Premade boosted bonobo detected.

chipndip110 votes

Actually, it's the opposite. Being tied to friends and acquaintances entices players to behave better so as to not inconvenience people they actually care about. I've played TOO much ranked this season, and almost all of it was solo, and if you want a real answer, the main people I had being more toxic was solo players. Solo players just want to pin the shit on premades. I say this as a solo player.

Narsicus4 votes

People forget that all of these things were heavily complained about BEFORE dynamic queue, the only difference is now people had a scapegoat to blame.

In a couple months people will realize that nothing really changed, that it was certain players causing this and not pre-mades coming out of the woodwork to ruin their day. And those certain players who do stuff like this are still in the game, competitive/ team-based/ pick-up-group kinds of scenarios tend to bring out this kind of behavior in people. Where you have to rely on your allies but have no say in who they are, it causes strife sometimes and this is going to continue.

One of the biggest problems I feel they were trying to solve with DQ, incentivizing team based play to help people try and get along in game. Not sure how well that worked overall as opposed to what we had before, but make no mistakes, we certainty had it before and if it was not any better than it definitely also was not any worse.

Are you sure you're hyped for it?

What are you going to blame your failures on after you're no longer playing in dynamic queue?

The champions you played against?

Your teammates?

Anyone but yourself, right?

Lol, typical. I earned my spot like the majority of people in ranked did, thanks.

The people I play with were either on my skill level or below it.

haaaaaaalp3 votes

Don't need to blame something if there is nothing wrong with the system.

There are obviously problems in solo queue as well but they are far less than dynamic queue so people will be far less inclined to qq about ranked.

Masochist3 votes

"Don't need to blame something if there is nothing wrong with the system."

That is ridiculous.

People were complaining about various other scenarios before DQ came about, and they'll keep complaining about it.

It has nothing to do with the system being broken, but the human ego being broken.

"People will be far less inclined to QQ about ranked"

LOL Maybe on the forums, but you and I both know the amount of complaining between solo/duo queue and dynamic queue was relatively the same - they were just complaining about the noobs and feeders, doing anything they could to shift the blame for them being lower ranked they believe they should have been away from themselves.

haaaaaaalp2 votes

There is a pretty big difference in the amount of qq when the system works and when it doesn't. Servers messing up? No one gives a shit about how bad ranked is. Champion xyz (I.e. Yasuo) overpowered? All of a sudden threads about ranked get buried about ranked.

The only reason there has been so much qq about ranked is because of dynamic queue compounding the innate problems with ranked. Before dynamic queue, threads about ranked got buried by qq threads about other things except after the rank soft resets.

There are so many problems with league that the problems with solo queue were not always front and center. Dynamic queue, on the other hand, was so bad that it completely drowned out everything else because it took priority.

Masochist2 votes

Dynamic queue was just another scapegoat. Sorry, bud. The "QQ" has always been there, and will always be there.

And even then, only an extreme minority of League players complained about dynamic queue in the first place.

falldown0102 votes

a huge majority of the players complained right away about DQ and those were the solo players, who got flooded by premades all of the sudden

as the storm went on, things calmed down, when riot annonced the changes, to limit the amount of premade players in ranked in the higher tier

they are fixing it, so ofc players wont complain as much

Masochist3 votes

"A huge majority of players complained right away"

Define huge, please. Because the people complaining on the boards are a teeny, tiny minority of the sum total of League players, the players on Reddit are also a tiny minority, and the streamers are an even smaller minority still.

"Flooded by premades all of the sudden" is largely up to their own perception, and their inability to accept any blame for their own failures.

Sorry, bud.

haaaaaaalp1 votes

The amount of qq for dynamic queue was far more than anything solo queue had. If dynamic queue was just another scapegoat, why the hell were there so many more people complaining about it?

Dynamic queue was universally panned across every league related outlet. Solo queue, on the other hand, only gets a small fraction of the hate and overall has a positive reception compared to dynamic queue.

Masochist2 votes

[Citation needed]

I've played the game since a couple weeks after open beta started. I can say with certainty that dynamic queue was a uniting scapegoat for many people.

A few people started complaining about it, and others, who felt slighted for whatever reason latched onto it like a bunch of remora on a shark. This meant they had a place to go to vent their frustrations without someone saying, "git gud scrub noob". Whereas most complaints would have been played out in game, or amongst friends otherwise.

I understand you have an emotional attachment to your ideas here, but you need to take a step back and remove your own emotions from the equation.

Emotional reactionaries are hardly ever right. In any situation.

Exactly.

Most of the issues people are complaining about (smurfs, boosted players, zero communication, raging teammates) existed way before dynamic queue was ever an idea.

I don't care if they remove dynamic queue, since I don't really play with multiple people in ranked, but people will just find another excuse for why they can't climb. It's been the same old song ever since ranked came out.

That's very good of you to be a true solo queue player. I honestly feel that most of the people that ended this season with a solo queue badge, really valued it as a symbol of pride. To make it a whole season without having premade communication to climb. Good on you, and best of luck in climbing solo/duo Q!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Wolf Queen5 votes

I had a dynamic badge :P but thats only cause if you play 100 games solo and then 5 premade suddenly your a dynamic in the logic of riot

Jayblaze2 votes

That shit tilted me. I reached gold with 240 solo wins, then i win some games with 2 of my friends, maybe4-5, and when i wake up in the morning i have a dynamic badge. Holy shit im mad. I tried and it seems i cant even get solo back now.

Wolf Queen2 votes

Yep pretty much. I got gold playing noct only solo. Got up to gold 1 actually then got all the boosted plat 5s now im down to gold 3 and playing adc lawl. Least there wont be any of those badges next season. I can duo and not have to worry about people seeing dynamic badge and thinking im a boosted dynamic.

i had solo badge, went premade for 6 matchs and got dynamic badge. 100 solo games later, solo badge was there somehow

  • 5 man bot lane fiestas

The list goes on, soloqueue/Duo Q will revive this game to a relatively healthy state after 1 whole year of hell

  • If you didn't get a chance at shotcalling with premades your calls most likely were bad. In the few games I tried to shotcall this season even 4 man premades listened, because they were the optimal call for the situation. (Sure, screw ups happen, but 0 shotcalling potential is a big lie)

  • Blame will happen regardless of it being SoloQQ/DuoQ or DynQ.

  • 0 communication? Pings are a form of communication too. (And yes, even premades use them because it's way faster to ping and let everyone know than not ping and try to explain where exactly the gank is coming from)

  • banned Pick intent? Will happen regardless. Some people are asses, others just weren't paying attention. Happened to me too, dodged the game. Can't be arsed to be mad at someone doing that. No reason to start a flamewar.

  • 5 man bot lane fiestas will be rarer, that we can agree on

  • no

Of all the things you listed only one thing is guaranteed to be rarer, the rest will stay the same. Shotcalling potential will be even harder than right now. A decent premade team will listen to the random as well, while 5 knobheads in 1 team might not trust each other. There tends to be that one guy in a premade that acknowledges a good call and will make his friends follow suit.

Because solo players simply saw a duo that are not playing perfectly. Wheeee!!!!!

SlaktarTasken3 votes

I'm confident having Duos with Solo will just hurt the FlexQ which might even lead to us reverting entirely to solo/duo and 5's. With other words, all will have been for nothing, nothing will have become achieved and we'll be stepping on the people who really like DQ.

Why not just make the experiences mutually exclusive and fully available? Makes too much sense? Can someone please explain this to me?

Masochist3 votes

Because people, presumably unlike yourself, have friends they like to play the video game with.

Time to get over it, chief.

There is no argument to be had with emotional reactionaries such as yourself.

I'd have more luck arguing with a water fountain.

Elewd1 votes

The problem with having both queues is, All the solo's will be in the solo/Duo queue, not flex queue. this means 4man premades can't exist anymore, thus making queue times abysmal, resulting in less players, which leads to just the death of the entire ladder.

Jeddy0173 votes

Yay, instead of just DQ ranked hell with friends, we have to the option to back to the old solo/duo queue ranked hell.

Draqone3 votes

When your team gives you 5 reports you should really tell those voices in your head to shut up and leave you alone.

nfzeta3 votes

The biggest problem with ranked in this season came with DQ but wasn't really a part of it. The new queue system was that problem and will still be there in the new solo/duo q. However after all the problems were ironed out this season dynamic queue was already pretty much back to soloq status.

I loved the idea behind DQ and how it could encourage more teamwork... however it seems that without voice chat that's just never going to happen.

The most dynamic queue did was join together some people who had good synergy with each other. Serious boosting was a problem that hardly changed from soloq days and instead just had the odd group trying to boost their friends a bit which had wonky results for the person being boosted. So in the end, on that front nothing really changed.

I play mostly solo, heck almost ONLY solo, even during dynamic queue. However I had hopes for it, hopes that were dashed. Even so I don't think changing back to soloq will really change anything as current dynamic queue was pretty much the soloq of the past with a new queuing system, which in the end was probably the biggest change this season and it was a positive one for the most part. Now with the long queue times mostly fixed and MMR balancing somewhat stabilized (was f**ked before and still is) we come away without the old pick order, "give me this role or I feed" stuff (for the most part).

In the end the whole DQ hate was just another example of all the excess hate that's been on the internet recently, a lot of people hated it before they even saw it. Some people blamed it for everything that went wrong, or whenever they came up against a team that had some coordination (lucky teams happened from the start of LoL) and otherwise the only real valid hate it got was from the new system which gave way to long queue times and unstable mmr matchups at first and that got fixed.

TLDR: Yes Solo/duo q is returning, however, don't get too excited.
