Kench can interrupt CAST of channeled abilities... I think

I was playing Velkoz today and a low-hp target was escaping our skirmish. I noted this, so I tried to ult him. My teammate TahmKench also noticed, so he ate me and ran towards the escaping enemy to catch him... but his eating me interrupted my ult. I know it's not supposed to be possible once the ult is CHANNELING, but is it possible he ate me while I was casting it instead of channeling? Either way it put my ult on cd and was pretty frustrating. If I'm right about how it happened, then the timing window is too small to ever do this intentionally, but I feel like this sort of situation is what Riot wanted to avoid. It would be nice if it either couldn't happen or didn't put my ult on cd... rito pls :(

Its hilarious when he eats an allied Lucian while he is ulting.

It doesn't interupt it since its not technically a channeled spell like VK's ult. And it just looks like Tahm is firing bullets from his face.

Vel'Koz ult is cancelled by any cc that either stuns him or moves him. The things Tom can't cancel are things like Lux ult channel, Garen ult, and Vi ult. These are all things cc can't stop normally anyways.

Think he was referring to a friendly kench. Which is not supposed to be able to interrupt friendly channeled abilities.

Edited to clarify the confusion you picked up on--thanks.
