How much longer would you wait for main role?

I have just played my 5th game in a row as jungle, with my main role being mid. My queue times generally average 4 minutes, even very late at night.

I would honestly wait twice this just to play my main role. I'm at a very average mmr, so I would have to think it would be possible to achieve nearly a 100% main role selection with only a slightly longer wait time.

Maybe at higher levels of play the wait times would just be TOO long, but for most of ladder I think waiting a bit longer for main roles would be a good trade off.

Increasing everyone's queue times to try to get them their main roles probably wouldn't actually help them get their main roles much more often. Everyone is willing to wait longer so they all just sit in queue not making a game for longer until the matchmaking system has to compromise them into their secondary role.

I am a jungler/support main, and my average queue time is around 2 minutes.

I mostly get my secondary role (support).

If you switch them, your queue time should go down to 10 seconds. ;)

As far as I know they are trying to change it up to where people get their main role most of the time. It sucks for some people who rarely get it, but people need to realize that you will have to wait possibly 3-5x as long just to get the role then there are other variables like remakes, people who dodge/DC, this usually resetting the queue. Then take into account when new champions/skins come out and people queuing up just to play those champions.

You might want to wait for it now but then what happens when you have to wait 20-30mins to get the role you want only to have someone dodge (for ever reason) and basically have to wait again to queue up and this keeps happening!

They already implemented that in last patch. So far it is worked, I hardly get my secondary role.

Right now im at 20minute Q time for normal draft mid/top, and thats when ranked draft is down too! loll

It sucks.

Here's an interesting question, imo: If you waited twice as long, but they still couldn't find a game for you with your main role, how upset would you be to get your secondary role after so long of a wait? Would you double your queue time to get your main role 50% more often?

Just because you're waiting longer doesn't mean that you're guaranteed to get your main role, although it should happen more often, to be sure.

I'd honestly be willing to wait 20 minutes or more to ensure my role 100%. But I'm probably in the minority.
