Diversity without equal choice is just another limitation

People keep saying Botlane is having a Diverse experience, but if you ask me, that is complete bullshit. Diversity would mean new choices were ADDED to the old ones, not new choices REPLACED the old ones.

That ADC's are all, and i mean ALL becoming completely useless, with the sole exception of Lucian, only proves the toxic path this game is taking. ADC's are the very pillar that defines lategame, but sucks to suck because lategame doesn't exist so ADC's are unviable. TL;DR Replacement is not diversity. Limitations are not variations, please stop trying to heaven-bless this fuck up of a Meta Riot gave us. We have well over 10 ADC, 9 of them are unusable and we have 4 picks to fill that spot. 10 went down to 5, that is not diversity, that is a limitation.

Best way it could've been put. Everyone accuses ADCs of "being crybabies who can't handle diversity." It isn't diversity if the new competition in bot lane does everything that you do, except better.

I dont know if much diversity was there when adc's held bot lane either. As a support main, I never wanted to see Ezreal, Lucian, Ashe, Trist, Vayne ....In fact all I wanted to see was MF,Kai, maybe Jhin?

Its no different now, except that now my carry in lane can do something without me spoon feeding him the kill/poke. Its quiet nice to be honest, I have gone from baby sitter to what feels more like a partner.

You're admitting what the problem is. The job of the support in the early game is supposed to be helping the carry get kills and not get killed themselves. If a champion is capable of being in lane without a support because they don't need to be "spoon fed", then they don't belong in not lane. Every lane has it's main roles, excluding outliers. Top lane is fighters and tanks. Mid lane is mages and assassins. Bot lane has always been marksmen, though now mages are working their way in. However, these are mages that were build to do early damage, harass, and win 1v1. They weren't designed to be weak early game and scale up into late game (most of the time, anyway). Because of this, as well as the support's help, they're able to do much more, much earlier, much more effectively. That's why marksmen are being pushed out. As for you being a support, you yourself said you want your carry to do things without "me spoonfeeding him the kill/poke." If you're not willing to assist your carry with getting kills and you don't want to poke, then why do you even play support? You have no valid complains that can't be solved by saying "well don't play support." Don't want to see Ashe, Vayne, Ezreal, Lucian? Don't play support. Don't want to help get kills? Don't play support. Don't want to poke? Don't play support.

If by useless you mean no longer being the only ones that can push objectives then you are right. Why are they so entitled to being mandatory in every game when every other class of champion is not. I mean you guys are complaining more then Tanks who are legitimately being pushed out the meta by bruisers aond conq. rune.

As far as Bot Diversity goes, i think you are a bit delusional if you think it was diverse even among its own crowd. Before this meta changed you had 4-5 ADCs being played period and every other one was crap, this meta in comparison has much more options.

i do not see that what you are saying is true. The most played champions in bot lane are still ADCs. In truth we only see non-ADCs as farming bot lane position, in about 15% of games. Still ADCs have approx 50% win rate. Yes crit ADCs are sub par at the moment. But choices were added, not removed.

The majority is still playing marksmen botlane because it is still stronger. The only ones playing non-marksmen bot are the ones that don't want it.

You also completely forget a thing about what "diversity" is. If you ONLY look at the number of champions played botlane, you might think that previous seasons had a diverse botlane too. The thing is, all these champions were of the exact same class: adcs, all of which do the exact same thing. That is not diversity. Diversity is allowing other classes to somewhat exist in botlane.
