"Tentative Elise changes" on PBE

I was really excited when I saw the one for Rappel, "Rappel (Spider E) New Effect - After descending, Elise's personal spider attacks have their bonuses increased by 40/55/70/85/100% for 5 seconds". Looks like an actual damage buff right? But lets take a look at the new numbers: "Spider Form (R) New Effect- now heals Elise for half (5/10/15/20 +.15 AP) of the bonus magic damage on hit." Compare this to the old on hit damage: ON-HIT MAGIC DAMAGE: 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 (+ 30% AP). That's right, at max rank in rappel, you're doing the same amount of damage for 5 seconds that you used to be doing for free. Gee, thanks for the "buffs" Riot, when you said changes you should have said "compensation".

In this set of changes, which aren't necessarily final yet, the damage on auto attacks isn't changing. The 5/10/15/20 +.15 AP number you're looking at there is the heal per auto attack, not the new damage value (we're considering shifting the healing from the W to the R). The post Rappel bonus is then a multiplier to the 10-40 damage, boosting that to 20-80 and the heal (which is half the bonus damage) to 10-40.

The Elise changes blow, they wont make her viable, why would I ever pick her over rek'sai/Evelynn/Gragas when they all are stronger than her early game and are 20x more reliable. I mean come on the fucking hit box on Elise's cocoon is like a pixel. So what if you increase her jungle sustain her jungle sustain wasn't the fucking problem, her problem is her unreliability and awful damage scaling.

You also have to take into account that the healing is on her autos an dmg is on her autos, making it easier for her to sustain and keep the survival without the spiderlings, because after they were gone, no healing.

Why don't they just give her back her bonus armor/MR in spider form? Apparantly that's what really sent her to the gutter.
