So everyone hates dynamic queue now?

AlsoJinxBot··12 votes·892 views

Since it's release iv seen a crap ton of threads complaining about just how horrible dynamic queue is, and how riot is just so horrible for what they've done. I think people tend to forget what we had before dynamic queue... Do you remember having to go by a crappy pick order, which 90% of the time didn't work because someone didn't wanna go support so they decided to lock in kassasin support.

Since dynamic queues release iv had practically no games where iv had to fight anything more than a duo, the only times iv got 4-5 man premade is when i HAVE a 5 man premade. I think this whole "Wow Dynamic queue is so unfair, getting matched against 4 premade made me lose, thanks riot because i don't have friends to carry me!" is a blind excuse to justify they lost a skill match up against another team.

The new champ select and Dynamic Queue are separate things, I don't know why people keep thinking that they're the same thing. And Dynamic queue is not a huge issue at lower elo, but a giant issue at high elo. If you look on the challenger leader-boards you'll find hundreds of players whose name have QQ and a bunch of numbers after it; those are id account numbers for the registry of a Chinese elo boosting service.

seriously, whining to riot about this wont fix it, people need to realize that just because solo Q is gone, doesnt make it the end of whats lovely about League

Your first paragraph has absolutely nothing to do with Dynamic Queue. Dynamic Queue is the ability to queue with any number of players in Ranked, and could have been implemented with the old Champion Select.

I realize that's champion select and not dynamic queue (since their two separate things). However I was trying to show that we've had much worse issues then just "wow just got a 4 man premade GG Riot"

You're mixing complaints. There is a distinct difference between dynamic queue and the new champion select.

I think most people like the new champion select. It reduces confusion and does allow people to usually get the role they want. I have some complaints about how fill = support and if you choose support as secondary you are guaranteed support but Riot has already said they are working on that.

What people don't like is dynamic queue because it makes boosting extremely easy and reduced the impact a solo player can have on the game. I think that's a very valid complaint, especially at high elo where every edge matters. The other thing people don't like is Riot lied to us. They said solo queue would come out and now it's pretty obvious that it's not. There needs to be a formal apology to the player base before people are going to get over it. After all, you can't forgive someone for something until they ask for forgiveness.

Get used to Riot lying. Seriously, just accept that they're not going to follow up on promise that don't make them money.

Replays

Sandbox mode

Magma Chamber

Supremacy (a mostly finished card game that got scrapped)

1k RP for EU server downtime from years ago.

A crap ton of user created skins (Did you know that only in very rare circumstances, a fan created skin concept automatically nullifies Riot's ability to make the skin happen? They won't confirm this of course, but its the reason fan skins, if they do get made, are different from the original idea)

Bullshit "Harrowing" skins that are obviously backburner filler. (Pirate Ryze, Headmistress Fiora)

That whole "void event"

And Tryndamere's 2013 message of "Expect the Unexpected"

To be fair, they did bring us "Magic Rush: Heroes" for Phone Apps.

Just because Riot lies a lot does not mean people don't have a right to hold them accountable or be upset when they do. In fact, it's our responsibility as paying customers to hold them accountable. If you're being paid to do something by someone and you lie to the person about what you're going to deliver you better expect to get an earful and you owe your customer an apology if you want to keep getting their business.

They don't hate the new pick style and choice of role, (at least not all of them) they hate how players can queue with x number of players and abuse the system by boosting.

I honestly can't believe there's people who prefer the old system to dynamic queue

I have had to fight groups of 3 and 4.

I have also been on the same team with groups of 3 and 4.

All in all though I love the queue, I get to play just 2 roles that I want to play. none of this "guys my adc is really bad, can someone switch" "you are last pick bro you should be able to play any role in ranked"

I have been climbing quite nice (got put in bronze 4 on placements, now silver 1, hopefully gold by the weekend)

just cause you are against a group doesn't really mean they are that good, I feel like people lose moral as soon as they see they are against a group

I mean if I am being honest I get my main role "jungle" less often then I used to with pick order. That also includes me going jungle / mid for the most chance of getting my main role. On top of that my true offrole is support which if I go jungle/support I will NEVER get jungle. That alone has caused my ranking to decline a little compared to what it could have been. I have myself gotten plenty of even duo qs on the enemy team when I don't have a duo Q on my team. I haven't gotten matched with too many 4-5 mans without having atleast a 3-4 man on my team but it HAS happened which is unacceptable. I can think of a few times my entire team was solo q and the enemy team had a 3-5 man does it happen every game or even close to that? No. Does it happen more often than it used to YES YES YES YES YES. The old system almost NEVER matched a duo q against a team without a duo q. Add to that we now have 2, 3, 4, 5 man queues and the system is mis matching more than the old system did and you have a problem.

The system itself COULD work it just needs to be fixed. First off queues should have minimum wait times before they are even considered for matchmaking against teams without the same number of people. Duo q's should have to wait 5 minutes before they can be matched vs a team without a duo, tri's 10 minutes, quads 15 minutes, and pentas 20. That's just one idea of a way to help the system I'm sure there are other better ideas but when this many people hate it including 90% of plat+ especially master/challenger players there is a problem.

I love having the supportive and friendly atmosphere that league premades bring to my games

I love having no choice in the matter either

Inspirational idea, riot could have easily implemented a role system without forcing the dynamic que scenario on everyone.....

I don't hate it. I've enjoyed the use that I've had from it.

DYNAMIC QUEUE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CHAMP SELECT

Why isn't this post stickied on the forums yet?

Why is this so hard to understand?

Genius move by Riot releasing new champion select and dynamic Q the same time.

These are the small tricks they are using fooling a horde of (stupid?!) people thinking that dynamic Q is good. Look at the people defending dynamic Q.

Like half of them in one way or another says they are happy to be able to choose their role.

sigh

I agree that most of it is whining and not based in actual issues, however, there have been some serious concerns raised about the integrity of the system since it allows boosting much more easily than before. It is harder to punish or track since instead of having someone play solo queue on your account (which Riot can track via IP address and player pick behavior), you simply queue up as a premade group and no one's the wiser.

I'd be totally fine with Dynamic queue except for this glaring abuse case, so if Riot can fix that issue it should be fine.

I agree that boosting needs to be fixed badly, but besides that I don't really see much of an issue with dynamic queue.
