Riot, what about the support role incentive you mentioned if things got this bad.
I vaguely remember when dynamic queue came out, Riot said they might add some form of incentive for the support role if it came down to it getting so few picks.
At the time, I thought it wasn't a problem cause back when it first came out, people were picking it enough to where if I went jgl/sup, I still got jungle more than 50% of the time. But by the time the actual season started, jgl/sup essentially just meant support. I kept picking it for the longest time because support is still my second best role. However, I've finally got fed up and started going jgl/top so I can get my main role and 3rd best role if not. And I probly have a larger than average amount of patience, which probly means more than half the people that were previously picking fill or sup second have likely given up on constantly being support.
It's definitely gotten to the point where the support and fill choices are way below where they should be. Ever since I stopped choosing sup or fill, queue times have gone up dramatically for me. However, shorter queue time itself is not incentive enough. I think the majority of people would agree a support/fill pick incentive needs to be implemented.
I know IP is the one thing that comes to mind first, but here are a few more ideas: 1 RP discount per game as support for ward skins / support champs up to some max discount cap free random skin unlock for X amount of games as support (maybe 100) Every X amount of games as support rewards you with one primary pick garuntee you can activate voluntarily during role pick preference
