The whole chain cc thing applies to everybody on both teams. This is why when you are in champ select, its important to think about what your teams comp is and what the enemy teams comp is. How are you picking. Are you picking a tanky team with lots of crowd control to lock them down, a mobile team that isn't meant for teamfights but for skirmishes and split pushing, a poke comp to wear down your enemies before going in on them?
If you have lots of problems with crowd control being focused on you, either you have a bad team comp that isn't able to fight back, or you have poor positioning. Maybe you get focused because you play a hard carry. If that displeases you, try different champs or different roles. Personally, I like
. He is great for teamfights and can still delete squishies and shred tanks thanks to his low cooldowns, burst damage, and true damage. But the trick to playing him properly is positioning. Even though his ult wreaks havoc in a teamfight, if he doesn't sit behind a frontline or land a good multi-person knockup before using it, his ult will only last a second if that before he is cc'd.
So I am going to reiterate my point here. The problem isn't a lack of items, its a lack of experience, or poor team compositions.
