Full Build:

Deathfire Touch is ridiculously good on AD Malzahar. It gives your E a whopping 62.5% bonus AD ratio. It also grants AD damage in an AOE to your Q (25%) and W (87.5% for full duration!). With this build, you will have:

60 + 55 + 65 + 25 + (math: 42) + 75 + 15 = 337 bonus ad (443 total AD)

Deathfire Touch bonus damage: E AD Dam: 10 + 210 W max AD Dam: 14 + 295 Q AD Dam: 4 + 84

Things you melt: Everything Things you don't melt: Nothing

NOTE: currently is not healing damage from your minions. Because of this, I recommend going . The added armor pen will give you greatly increased damage anyway.

You could build item 3146 instead of item 3812 due to the fact that Gunblade heals off all damage YOU deal. Its active, your spells, voidling damage even.

I do not think minions interact with anything except for black cleaver and a specially-coded interaction with rylai's.

If tested to work, the item to replace would be Bloodthirster since you don't want to lose any CDR.

I use Gunblade almost religiously on Malzahar even in mid lane. It heals off practically everything.

I am a Malz player that builds hybrid and this is my build usually: item 3174 item 3040 item 3116 item 3146 item 3071 item 3512 . On occasion if need be, I switch out Athene's for item 3165 if the enemy team has a lot of self healing.

item 3512 acts as pseudo-boots for me. Zz'Rot is also my only true defensive item in the build. And honestly I can't seem to decide on a pair... item 3117 , item 3009 , or item 3020

Definitely item 3020 with your build. You have alot of ap so the magicpen is very good.

Yea thats a good one isn't it.

Here is a tip; Figure out what you want to do first, what will be your play style, will you nuke ppl or dps people or a bit of both etc etc.

Then ask yourself what stats you need, cdr mana/manaregen ad/ap.

Once you got that figured out you cn start looking at the items you want.

What i usually do with runes and masteries is look for chich stats i want, but don't want to build.

I posted my own build in this thread. I wanted mobility and manaregen and some flat penetration i also wanted max cdr. But i dont have room for that in my item build I pretty much fill up the cdr through runes get manaregen from runes and masteries and some hybrid pen. Other than that i got mobility for kting/roaming from masteries and items, these also allow me to cut cdr for ghost/flash in half through the boots, distortion and cummoner cooldown mastery.

Once you know what you want to do with your build you can figure out which items are most slot efficient for your build, and help you in thta playstyle. Then you use runes and masteries to get the rest of the stats you want but don't have item slots for.

The whole bases of the build was conceived on this idea: How can I get the most out of his kit while having loads of fun for me? And making my opponents have a hard time itemizing against it.

It has been tested that Death Dance doesn't work, but Gunblade does.

Yea this seems very good. I willcertainly try the build next time i play Malzahar. Just wait for the new assassin dagger its going tol be very good on ad Malzahar because you, unlike any other champion, have full controll over its passive since your voidlings and space aids are pretty much your basic attacks ^^

My build is a tad different. i tend to go into the cunning tree for the bonus manaregen and the hybrid pen then i take thunderlords for a tad of extra burst, tho DFT seems very strong too.

i use the following items

item 3158 item 3042 item 3071 item 3146 item 3116 item 3742

Then i get more manaregen the other 10% cdr and hybridpen reds in runes So through runes and masteries i get an extra ''athenes level'' of manaregen. 40% cdr Alot of ad, enough to kill people at least. Some ap, its never wasted, tho its mostly for the sustain and slows. And the Deadmans is for kiting purposes, it also happens to make you more tanky. But this is a lane build, mostly top or mid ive also used it botlane and its an overal good build with good kiting damage and sustain.

Edit: Just an idea but you could probably swap the item 3072 in your build for a item 3139 gives a very nice active and some mr.
