I feel like Mordekaisers ult...

Should have been part of Nocturnes rework, not Mordekaisers.

Sure.

Then Nocturne's ult should do 0 damage & grants no secondary damage effect (eg. DoT, %HP damage, Morde's new "stealing stats" debuff). Just a simple teleport to enemy champions & isolate them.

Id be totally on board with Paranoia doing nothing but the vision loss effect, and the death ring effect. No damage. Ranking it up just increases the range, and maybe the duration. Definitely no stat sapping.

I was honestly just joking, but tbh, this "isolation" effect is not Nocturne's niche. He's meant to surprise-catch people off & assassinate them off instantly, not dash up to their face & propose a "fite me 1v1" situation. To propose your changes as you stated, Riot will literally have to cut off a ton of damage in order to make Nocturne a bruiser instead of an assassin.

I think not.

but Morde is a AoE damage dealer. isolating himself in a 1v1 themeatically doesnt even make sense. i feel like they shudda went a different route.

Whereas, Nocturne is a low-mechanic assassin that has no mobiltiy to escape or stick. Attach this Morde ult effect to Paranoia and Nocturne would be playable with hardly any tweaking to his kit/numbers.

actually morde vs (whoever) is themeatically correct he needs to dominate your soul to win plus as an invader he has a advantage in his shadow realm which isolates them 2 from the material world. in other words it turns into the Battle Of The Soul. 'if only' though if the invaded takes mordes soul if they kill him. the soul transference should work both ways.

The skill itself isn't themeatic to his kit. Sure you can be all dorky and talk about souls.

I can do the same thing with Nocturne, and replace the word soul with darkness.

well.... they could make the same ult on nocturne except put them into stasis the indicator says sleep. then pull a freddy Kruger in dream sequence. that would make a much different ult playstyle for nocturne but would have that 1v1 in dream thing. if we are talking themes.

why would they need to tweak him into a bruiser? He already is a bruiser, he isnt a pure assassin. Hes a low-par jack of all melee trades. The champ is role flexible, hence why his isnt optimal at anything.

He CANT assassinate things, because noone is dumb enough to play one of the 5 F tier champions he actually can delete AND also isolate themselves.(Both are required). I just feel like the death ring, attached to his paranoia ult would fix that problem of his ult not really being all that useful in modern League.
