Ideas to balance Yasuo
So Yasuo has become very popular nowadays, which has made us realise that allthough a great player can make amazing things with him, a decent player or even a bad player can still get a lot of benefits from playing him. Allow me to explain, here is something that i see happen a lot: a guy that is obviously not good with Yasuo plays very unsafe throught the lanning phase, he dashes onto you repeatedly and he misses around 70% of his Qs(Steel Tempest), which causes him to die multiple times and become unrelevant, but assuming this is Soloqueue we are talking about and not some tournament, the game will probably drag on to mid/late game, now this bad Yasuo player has 100% crit because of his passive, and even tho he misses most of his Qs you still can not beat him because his basic attacks always crit, causing scenarios where he can even 1v3 people.
I consider his passive to be the main source of this problem(he can miss all of his Qs and still be relevant), here is what i proppose:
- We could make his crits stop dealing reduced Dmg at the price that he only gets his crit chance doubled in his Steel Tempest ability. for example if yasuo has 50% crit chance, his Qs have 100% crit chance while his basic attacks only have 50% but his crits deal unreduced Dmg.
- Or we make his passive disables for a small period of time(2 secs for example) if he misses a Q, this way good yasuo player will still get a lot of benefits for actually hitting their Qs while bad yasuo players get punished for not doing so.
