If you view my ranked flex 3v3 games and check my opponents you can see these guys are not quite the opponents that should be placing me in IRON 1 ELO

I could drop more examples and no flame at these guys for winning, but how on earth does this happen...?

Because they are not plat on TT.

Because TT has an abysmal playerbase? Also pretty sure that those ranks are soloq ranks and not TT ranks since most sites don't bother showing anything but soloq ranks.

TT won't have a chroma this year, as at the end of the season they will be ending the life cycle of TT (it's going away :()

As for why that happens, Flex queues are based on Flex rankings. you could be Diamond in Solo and then come up as Bronze in TT or SR Flex because they do not share the same ranks. Each had their own placements and games that you have to go through.
